Good morning everyone. We had dinner with my in laws last night and head to my
Miss P
I've been up for forever (yawn) it seems. My men all got up at 6:00 AM and headed up to church for the Easter Sunrise Service. It was 29 degrees out when they left. Frankly, I think they are insane. To prove it...the two younger men are back in bed as I type this at 7:30 AM. The girl and I were smart enough to stick around here where it is warm, coffee is plentiful and homemade cinnamon buns are baking. Yes, THOSE buns, Rhonda. Yum.
Sunday school and church are most definitely on our agenda this morning. I've already had my quiet time, prayer time. Sitting in Mame's chair. Watching the sun come up behind the trees. It was...peaceful. And quiet. (And the buns were cooking and I could smell them...)
It will be a busy day. Cooking. Finishing up laundry. The painting is done, except for the trim. That is my job. I like to paint trim.
I hope that each of you have a great Easter. Pig out on the candy today. Throw it away tonight before bed. Tomorrow we all head down the path of "No Fluff...All Buff" as Patty so eloquently put this morning!
Happy Easter, and thank-you, Patty, for a beautiful message this morning. I've been noticing all the miracles of spring lately and those have helped to give me strength. They restore my soul. I even open our bathroom window to let the smell of tangelo blossoms in the house. The tree looks almost covered in snow.
I am very far behind on what's going on and hope to start catching up maybe around Tuesday. Can't remember if I posted that Dad almost went to the hospital again or not. It was frightening, but he seems to be doing better. Rob and I went to Orlando for the Zumba class. He got a few pictures for me that I'd like to post if I can get him to show me the technique I've been wanting to learn. Beto was 25 minutes late, which really annoyed me. It was a sell-out with 260 (or more) people waiting in a gym for him. He is cute and charming, but truthfully, I like the choreography in Christine's class better. I had heard his classes have gotten kind of generic and I thought there were too many calisthenic/warm-up type moves instead of dance moves. Christine and maybe 8 other people from Jacksonville were there. I got Rob to take a group shot of us, but one was in the restroom. Got her in another picture. I ended up leaving at 7:30 when the class was supposed to be over, so we could get to Erin's.
Erin was so sick with the flu that we didn't even see her. Rob and I delivered the big toy box he'd built of solid oak back when he was in advanced woodworking his senior year. It's sliding doors are chalkboards and it has 2 book shelves too. We spent well over $100. on materials, so you don't find things like this ready-made anymore. I gave Jackson his Easter presents and we had fun playing with him and talking to Joe until about 9:30. He said Erin was in tears when she got home that afternoon, running a 102 temperature, and was so sick that she asked him to bring her some water, some Pedialyte, and a slice of bread to settle her stomach. He told her to come inside and she said she couldn't that she was too chilled. He said she slept in the car in the driveway for 1 1/2 to 2 hours and it was 80 degrees out. I feel so bad for her.
We drove back and got home about 11:30. Mom had another meltdown with my older sister, so we'd made arrangements for her to come stay with us (the sister, that is). We are all concerned about Mom's mental health. She is so hyper sensitive, over reacts to everything, cries a lot, and is really rude to people. She has been just terrible to my sister after all she and her husband have done for her. Today should be really interesting... We moved the Easter dinner to today, since Erin, Joe, and Jackson couldn't come up for it.
Cheryl and I stayed at the nursing home a long time yesterday after picking up Rob's cake that has a Coast Guard emblem on top and says HOO RAH ROB! and a honey baked ham from that store -- what a mob scene! Lauren and the girls were there. I helped them dye Easter eggs in the day room of the nursing home. The residents get such a kick out of them and their eyes light up when they see them.
Tim came over Friday morning to work on finances, but we couldn't get into the acct. on my computer, so we've rescheduled for tomorrow night. I dread tomorrow. Cheryl, Lauren, and the girls leave early to go back to MD and Rob leaves tomorrow evening to stay at the motel before he's flown out the next day. Talk about an empty house. I have a special card for him, a small cross for his pocket like I gave Phyllis and Rob's best friend,

Happy Easter Everyone!
It's a chilly morning here but we did the Easter egg hunt and Brock seems quite pleased with the "good stuff" he got.
