Have gotten a lot done this morning already. Heading out to pound some pavement. Very briefly, but heading out the same.
I've always been an all or nothing kinda gal. I'm trying to change that. Beginning today. I'm embracing the "small steps = big advances" theory. No, I'm not going to get in 3 miles today. Nor am I going to hit the weights this week. But I am going to get moving physically. And I'm going to watch what I eat and up my water intake.
The spiritual = the mental for me. I've done my quiet time, bible study time, prayer time and that always picks up my mental game.
After I come back from walking, I'm hitting another load of laundry and spend an hour in the home office. Then hitting the work office. The boss is on Sabbatical for four weeks and I have my own little Sabbatical plan in motion. :)
Patty...I'm sure the numbers will be okay. They always seem to be. And I know that you will jump right back into it, either way. Please remember to get some Patty-cakes time in...whether it's running and weights or lunch with a friend (making wise choices), getting a mani/pedi...whatever it is. It's so difficult for us to find the balance. I'm the worst offender...I know you were thinking that! But I'm working on it.
Nancy...please be careful driving today! Snow...OY. I'm still not back to speed after being ill. Pamper yourself a bit and move back into it slowly.
Love you and guys and I'll be checking back later...
Oh Patty....try to stay positive about your numbers. It is probably the waiting to hear that has you doubting yourself. I can just feel the butterflies in your stomach myself. You worked hard, got some innovative things working in CL and you know you did your best...more than your best.
Great motivational post today Patty! Yes...small doable goals are the way to go. I especially like trying the substitution of something healthy. Healthy choices can make a big difference.
I am not very motivational with working out today. I got up to get ready to go to the gym, but my lips and eyes didn't feel right. It was actually starting last night. I looked in the mirror and sure enough...they are swollen. It is an allergic reaction...the same one I got when I had taken celebrex. I am now waiting to talk to the doctor before I take any more of that new Rx. Always something!
I felt like a slug for a long time after having the crud, NANCY.
