Hello everyone!

It's okay to jump...you have wings!

To move forward...you have to stop looking back.

You are certainly not a couch slug with being an SM, working full time and taking care of a 6 year old! Actually, you don't need to go to the gym to workout. One of the easiest workouts is to just put on some good tunes and dance around the house. Really! With the nicer weather coming in and the longer daylight hours, you and DD can go our for walks or bicycle rides. She can ride while you walk. Just throw a ball around the yard. The trick is to just move any way you can fit it in.

We are here for you! Take some baby steps...one day at a time...one small goal at a time.

Welcome to the board! Hope you come by for ideas and support and share what is going on with your life.

By no means would I call you a couch slug, either.

Good morning and welcome to the board. You do not sound like a couch potato to me. You sound like an over worked single mom trying to make ends meet. I think you are doing a fine job with yourself and you should be proud. Having that friend support is great. My only suggestion would be to try and get a walk or bike ride with your daughter maybe twice a week and on the weekends to help boost your metabolism. I work at a desk now and moving is an issue although when I get home its nonstop till bed, but that does not count. Our bodies are used to that pace so now we need to shake it up and change it. Some of those dance video's they advertise might worth a try, or just some loud music and dancing with your daughter. I would suggest a trip to the libraryand look for a book or two, there are so many healthy diets........hate that word.............that you could use as guide lines. I think Margie was just following her own guide and added her biking and you should see the results. Donna and Rhonda both were following the South Beach diet for a while. I try and use the WW guides for portion control but getting myself to the weekly meetings has been difficult. Its not easy but it is worth it once you get yourself motivated and activated. Welcome and we look forward to hearing more from you.

Thanks to everyone for their support.

It is difficult to get outside right now.
