Hey ladies I never did get back here yesterday to post my day, lol. Actually was off and I enjoyed my day. I spent some time on line responding to others then when I wanted to let you all know what I was up to my computer gave me a hard time. So I logged off and headed to the gym. Pushed myself to walk 2 full miles, it was not because I was tiered but because my feet hurt. Rob bought me new sneakers (Nike) and they hurt my heal around lap #20..........I had to push to make it to lap 34 but I did it. Came home and got the stuff together for our taxes and cleaned a little. Did some laundry, made some beds, ran the vacuum cleaner and cleaned one bathroom. Met Katie at the bus stop and we went and had our nails and piggies done. She had her girlfriend Katie spend the night, sweet kid and Bill and I took them to the diner for a late dinner. They slept down in the den while Bill and I headed upstairs around 10:00.
This morning Bill and I got done early and headed out. We hit the 7/11 for our morning coffee/tea and then over to our accountants office to get those dreaded taxes done. We have to pay this year. The business produced more profit so now we need to readjust our deductions. From there we headed over to the body shop where that Range Rover was towed too. Funny story............we met up with this young man Bill knows who works there part time and he took us in the back to show us the truck. The truck is covered in scratches and needs to be completely repainted. There are a few dents but not bad considering it went through a plate glass garage door. As we are out there the owner of the body shop comes back and this young man introduces my Bill and the shop owner where the truck was stolen out of. My Bill then proceeds to introduce me, "this is my wife, Deb". The guy points his finger at me and says "I know you!", and I said "no", he says "yes I know you" and again I say "I don't think so". Then he says he knows me from Ronkonkoma, which is where I grew up and I tell him that. He then asks my last name which I said but duh he means my maiden name. I tell him and he says the name of the street I grew up on. Now I am like wow, this guys does know me, "who are you" I ask? OMG its this guy I knew from elementary school..................talk about a blast from your past. We chatted for a while then we left. From there Bill and I went looking at appliances for the kitchen. I convinced him to go with the stainless ones, and we both like the GE Profile series. We even found a refrigerator that will fit into the cabinet already there with just slight modifications. Originally we thought me might have to remove the top cabinet and side wall but we won't. I picked out a refrigerator with the top french style doors and the bottom freezer. Well from there we headed home and I met Bill's mom and her and I headed to Chicos for some girly girl shopping. Bought myself a pair of white jeans that I love...........cost me $45 which I normall would not have bought but they looked good and felt even better. Heck you only live once! Now I am home, Katie is spending the night with my inlaws, the boys are doing what ever the boys do and Bill and I are going to go out for some dinner with our friends John and Debbie.
Patty the answer to your question would be no........I always put others first. I am trying to break that habit adn today was a good day to start with buying my jeans.
Susan I sure hope your day today for your dd party went nice. I know you guys have alot hanging over your heads and I am sure it will all work out. It's just the in the meantime part. Still thinking of you and sending you hugs.
Giner I saw that Rhonda told you who our famous CL is.........Miss P (Patty), princess of chicken land. Good for giving yourself the night off. We all need that and lady from what I have been reading you deserve it. You just dust yourself off and restart the next day knowing it was fun and worth it.
Nancy you can keep that chilly weather right where it is! Do not, I repeat do not send it out the east coast! Sounds like that bug is still in you so taking a break for a few more days without exercise is alright. Did you get your bookkepping done or did you do your nails?
Donna sorry about your hip. Hope it feels better soon....so a Mojito helps, does it? I have had that panic feeling with my bills, see that is what we get for paying them early. I am going to check out the QVC site and see what kind of trouble I can get into. Bill will not be thanking you!
Pretty picture Rhonda, it is nice living near the water. I do not take advantage of it enough. Hope you have a really nice day with Erin and Jackson and your dad. Does Erin stay at your house when she drives up? I am sure you will be hearing from Rob soon. Starting a letter and just continuing it for a couple of days is a good idea.
Sassy, yum homemade bread and french toast to boot! So very sorry to read that you put your dog to sleep. We put Bingo down in November and that was one of the hardest things we have ever done but we knew we did the right thing. I am sure Sammi misses his friend but I am sure with time he will adjust. How are the kids feeling about this? Paint the wall white.......now that is an idea. Actually we are going to paint Katie's room next and she wants some form of green, it will interesting at the paint store when we try to come to a mutual decision.
Karen it sounds like you had a pretty busy day planned today although it was with normal everyday stuff. Sounds like your weather is warmer then ours. Hope you had a good day.
LadyIrish hope you enjoy your company. We dog sit for my sister every once in a while, she has a Jack Russell. Enjoy your football and your soup. What kind of soup are you making? Have you listened to Celtic Thunder? I heard them the other night on the PBS station, what a wonderful show. I am thinking of getting tickets for my parents as a gift, they are playing at Radio City Music Hall this October.
Deb I am guess those burgers were you lunch.......were they good? Glad you got outside for a while to enjoy the sun. Wine club tonight or Sunday? Either way enjoy and have a good time. What does one do at a wine club anyway? I am lucky that I do not have gray yet in my hair but it has gotten very dark over the years. I used to be much blonder, naturally but now I have to have it done for me. I use a lady who works out of her house and I can not beat the price. She does a cut and color for $45.
Debbie
Nobody puts Debra in the corner!
I went to the grocery store today to get what the store was out of last night. Two days walking around the grocery store is a lot of exercise for me!
Tonight I made my soup. Between that and the ham and scalloped potatoes that I'm making tomorrow night, I won't have to cook all week.
