Kind of a weird day here today. Yesterday was sunny and hot to the point I had perspiration running down my back just waiting out front for Erin and Jackson to get here. She was an hour late. That's only 15 minutes late from her usual. :-/ I had his bubble lawn mower, lawn tools, puzzle, and bath toys packed up and ready to go. My sister had gotten him one of the Hallmark eggs that plays the Chicken Dance when you press the top, but he hadn't seen that yet. When we showed him how to dance when it played music, he got so he would dance around and wiggle the egg in his hands. So cute!

We went to Panera where Rob used to work and she treated me to lunch to go. I was helping Jackson eat his sandwich and chatting with Erin. When I looked over, he'd fallen asleep holding a piece of sandwich in his hand! She carried him in the heavy car seat into the nursing home and he slept in a reclining position on Dad's bed for probably almost 2 hours! Erin's had dad gotten there ahead of us, and we had a nice visit. Mom was there too. When Jackson woke up, I took him around the nursing home several times where he delighted the residents and met several of the staff who care for Dad. We went out to look for ducks, but they were all gone. I chased him around the grounds and let him play on the physical therapy course that has stones, pavers, a ramp, and steps with rails. It was after 5 before we left.

At the house, Jackson found the balloons we'd gotten Rob and was playing with them. I assembled his mower and let him mow the lawn. I think Joe will get a kick out of that. Erin ran to Walgreen's to have some prints made for me, so I got to baby-sit a while. We smelled tangelo blossoms, looked at flowers, looked at the pool, sat in the hammock briefly, because he was too wiggly to stay still, mowed some more, and saw several butterflies. One came so close I was afraid he was going to touch it! The boy across the street was gone to the zoo with his parents to see the new 3-yr. old Jaguar that just went on exhibit. I've been dying to take Jackson there to see the new things, plus he's never been to this one. One day the boys will meet and so will the parents. They left at 6:55, which was a long stay for them. I was sorry to have the time end.

We had the communion party at 2:30 and we got home about 6:30. We quickly changed our clothes into our sweats and landed on the couch. Around 7:30 Bill & Katie announced they were hungry. That is the problem with an afternoon affair. Told them to rumage through the frig and find something because I was not cooking. They found some left over chicken from Friday night so they were happy. The communion party was alright. They hired a DJ, I find them so loud. Thank goodness Bill & I were seated at the table with Bill's parents and Aunt Linda and Uncle John the furthest away. The DJ played for the 4 hours and every stinking song was geared to the kids. Nothing for anyone else to dance to. I found that so annoying and rude. Now I know this is just my opinion but if you are going to
