I will mark these dates in the calender and will plan on going. Of coarse I would drive it, maybe a 5 to 6 hour drive. I believe it is closer then DC was. It all depends on my creative financing, Katie's schedule and time off from work. Let the plans begin...........I was just worried about those ladies on the west coast flying to the east coast again.

No one else had come up with an area anywhere in the country, so since I'm going to be in an area where 3 other board members are close and several more could drive it fairly easily together, I threw it open to everyone. I'd like as many people as possible to make it, but some is better than none.

Maybe one of these trips you and I can fly in and meet each other (shop/spa) like SF :o)...then go back east.

Colonial Williamsburg is about 500 miles from my house Deb. It is definitely further away than DC. We went once when the kids were young. So you might think about flying in. You can get to Norfolk from Islip with southwest. I fly that all the time to go to NC to visit the kids. Just thought I would let you know.

I thought it was closer for some reason but I went online to mapquest and it showed it being about a 7 hour ride, which is long. For some reason I thought it was closer. I went online then to Southwest like you suggested but it is too soon to book a flight for October. I will check back in a few weeks and see what kind of money they are talking. Do you think you will go and will

I am thinking of going but I might drive to DS's in Moyock and then drive from there. They live right over the Va border on the eastern side of NC. If I fly down just for the weekend, I will let you know. I have to see if Richmond is closer and if there are flights. I will be booking flights to NC for May and it usually runs me a little over $200 but DinL picks me up. I don't know how expensive it would be to rent a car if there are no shuttle services.

If I drive down, I would be willing to pick up people from the airport and go to the hotel from there. I would stay in Williamsburg while the FOF ladies are there. I would have a mini vacation inside my visit with the kids.

I missed the last trip but I don't plan on missing this one.

I'm sorry to hear it. That just happens to be the area where I have family and can invite members of the board to join me. It helps that 3 members live nearby and most of the board lives on the East Coast. Maybe one day someone will arrange a board trip in the Midwest or West. I couldn't do one of those this year anyway with 2 trips necessary in the Middle Atlantic area.
