Just thought I would start a link for making plans for the trip in October. It seems the posts are lost in another post.
I want to thank Rhonda for getting this started...you have been great with doing this Rhonda.
I think Williamsburg will be a great place to go and with the Best Western nearby it should be more doable. I like the idea of some down time and/or do everything. I am leaning towards driving and coincide it with a visit with family in NC. I can do a Norfolk airport run too. There is a 6:45 am flight out of Islip that gets in nice and early for you NYers. I am glad going here will work for our wonderful cl-Patty!
So...add your thoughts here. Also, let's get a tentative number of who will be going.

I'd offer to come take the farm duties....but I think we'd have a problem.

Here's what I found on Travelocity in the 3-star, 4 to 4 1/2 smiley face review range that are close to attractions. This doesn't mean we have to book through them, but they give descriptions without having to click onto each hotel site.
Woodlands Hotel and Suites (an official Colonial Williamsburg Hotel) right next to Visitor Center -- $139.
Governor's Inn (an official CWH) 3 blocks from hitstoric area -- $99.
Marriott Williamsburg closest to Busch Gardens -- $119.
Best Western (Yes, I found it!) -- No rooms available and only 2 1/2 stars.
