Beautiful picture, Patty. It's a bit overcast this morning, but I'm hoping it will clear up. One of the things Tim and I are doing today is to go get two Giant Birds of Paradise plants for me to plant in 2 large decorative containers on the pool deck. I need him to lift those and the bags of top soil that go in the pots. I will be so glad to get those bags off the deck.

Good Morning,

It was gray and gloomy when I got up this morning but looks like the sun is trying to make its way out and both DH and I are ready to open up the windows a bit and let some air into the house. I loved the picture this morning Patty. Daffodils are opening up all over the neighborhood and have really enjoyed the evening walks with Otto as I seem to see more and more signs of spring each day. My lilac in the back has some green on it and looking forward to the blooms this year. I love the smell of lilac.

DH spoke to his younger sister last night. Seems they found something in her mammo that is a cause for concern and she'll have to have a biopsy. She's had to have aspirations done before and hoping and praying that this is the same. I didn't speak to her but DH seems to think that there is a bit more concern over this. Please keep Lucy in your thoughts and prayers.

I headed to the basement this morning since it was kind of ugly out. There are just some days where I find my pace on the treadmill and this was one of those days. It felt so good and I thanked DH for pushing me back into the exercise world. Now to get my eating under control. Even though my scale says the same number which is just hard to believe I know that what and how I've been eating has been very unhealthy so it's back to better eating. I think the ice cream will go to the basement refrigerator and that way it will be out of sight out of mind. Short term memory isn't very good anyway!

Major cleaning needs to be done around here. There's not a room in this house that is in any presentable. My office space isn't much better. I have a ton of shredding, filing laying in a pile waiting to be done, bills that need paying and my checkbook to be put back in order and of course the ever present laundry pile. Obviously not all is going to be done today but hope to make a huge dent in it.

Through all the stress of the last few weeks I still have to laugh as DH always the person who hates to throw things out came home with some "interesting" things-a newspaper from when Richard Nixon resigned, a microwave that he said he was going to give to DS to bring to work-trust me the looks of this thing it should be condemned! Some other things that he was trying to figure out how to get into the garage. There sort of stuffed in on either side of DS'car-not sure how he's going to push out the car to work on it since everything has to be moved! And apparently all the recycling that he could possibly fit into his truck! A saver he will always be!

That's about it for my day. DD is doing OK. Her jaw hurts more than her actual mouth and trying to figure out things that she can eat. She has a lot of issues with medications so she's been trying to deal with the discomfort with Tylenol rather than the pain medication prescribed. I hope to get out with Otto later in the day for a nice walk.

Hope you're all doing well. Donna-have fun with the kids! Hope you're all doing well and having a good start to the weekend ahead.

Good afternoon everyone! Feeling a little better today...at least the pain in my side is easing up a little. I didn't go to the doctor but I am keeping tabs on how I feel this weekend and make a decision on Monday. I think I will go more to have the pain documented and give the doctor heck for not listening to me and telling me I had to take that medicine anyway. Chances are very slim

Be like a postage stamp.  Stick to it until you get there.

Okay, take a wild guess what I like best about spring! I drive past pastures every day on the way to and from work, and I just love all the baby animals. I also love the daffodils -- this area is blanketed with them every year.

No plans this weekend. I have 1/3 of a tank of gas that's got to last until Friday morning (fingers crossed!). So maybe it's a good time to clean out my trashpile of a room and get some stuff bundled up for the thrift store. And I've got my favorite singer, Tommy Fleming, on the Media Player.

I've never quite found the joy in doing yard work.
