Upon further investigation, it seems that transportation to Williamsburg would be very diffcult for some members. It's a lovely area and I'd love to see it again, but I'm wondering what your thoughts are between two options, or if you have any other ideas for that area.
So, for those of you planning to attend, please let me know your preference between A & B and DON'T ;-) say you don't care. We need to make a decision.
A. Drive or fly into the closest airport to Williamsburg (and any difficulties that entails) and spend the time seeing the historic town and/or shopping areas.
B. Drive or fly into the DC area, see some sights there like the botanic gardens or maybe I can get some tickets to tour the White House or capitol

I have been to all 3 places and will be driving from Southern MD, so it really doesn't matter to me, but because it is so much easier transportation-wise, I would choose DC. You're right, we just skimmed the surface. Actually, Reagan National is the most convenient airport to fly into. It's right across the Potomac from town, and we stayed not far from there last time at the Doubletree, which I thought was very nice and convenient.
Also, if Patty couldn't make it for the whole weekend, she could probably at least meet us in Manassas for the day, but she'd have to confirm that.
Nancy, are you planning to go back on Sunday or stay till Monday?
