I think that an inflatable palm tree would be the perfect accompaniment to the 90+ degrees in CL.

Good Morning,

Tiki here I come! I'm so ready for Tiki-if I can't get there then I'll be joining Miss P in CL to greet the service guy with a lounge chair and a margarita in hand. What do you think his reaction would be to a CL full of FOF'ers? Would he be ready for that?

Otto and I got in a good brisk walk after dinner. I did a little reading, some filing, laundry folding and then complete exhaustion and in bed and asleep before 10PM.

I did manage to pry myself out of bed this morning but really didn't have much more than 30 minutes to put into a workout so used one of my walking videos to get a short workout in for the day.

I have to say that I love my new desk and work space at work. Where I had no drawer space in the old office I now have more drawer space than I know what to do with and for stuff I rarely use an overhead slide up compartment. Only problem was no keyboard tray. Why they wouldn't ask us if we would like one is beyond me but the end of the week that should be solved as well. Nice chairs as well that are actually comfortable to sit in. Nothing like a nice chair for your bu** when you sit for the majority of the day.

DH set off for his last day at the old job before he moves on to new employment. He admitted last night that he's not doing well with the moving on. Everyone else seems to have picked themselves up and readied themselves for something new but he and one other mechanic are having a difficult time with it. DH did speak to the guy at the new place and after a little negotiation he's agreed to DH's idea about giving up the commission and he met DH half way with the hourly rate. Of course there's always a last comment which was we'll see how this works out for the next 60 days. I really hope that we're not in the same position 2 months from now. For the meantime we'll just have to tighten the belt a little tighter and see how things work out. DS took DH on a dry run on the quickest and easiest way to get to the new job. DH is terrible with directions and DS going and doing deliveries over the years he really knows the ins and out of getting most places on LI.

Younger DD went to the "Spring Fling" that her company hosts each year. She actually won the MVP for the year. The employees vote for a person each year for the award and she was shocked that she won. American Express gift card worth $250 and a very coveted hooded sweatshirt with the company name. She was very excited.

We also have a new addition to the family. My niece and her SO had a baby boy over the weekend. The 4th grandson for my sister.

Patty-sorry to hear that DS didn't have a good first day at his job. I have always hated 1st days at work. Hopefully things will improve for him.

Rhonda-sorry to hear that you had such a bad day yesterday. I agree with Patty that you never bore us. If you feel like talking we're all ears. If you'd rather not that's OK too.

Nancy-sounds like you have some nice renovations going on there. Good luck!

Well better get moving. Need to make sure my bag is ready for departure to Tiki!

Hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday!

Me in a bikini? I'll spare the world that!

A week in the tropics (or better yet, a week in Ireland) would be just what I need right now. I'm not in a great place right now.
