Seems like every day lately starts off on such a gray note. The sun finally arrived late yesterday afternoon but to me it still had that chill in the air although I saw a lot of shorts on people during my after dinner walk with Otto. I don't know whether it was wishful thinking on their part or the fact that I still had a winter jacket on and felt the chill in my bones. They're saying the sun is supposed to appear and tomorrow is supposed to be the warmest at around 70 and then rain headed back. Sounds better than Nancy's predicted foot of snow!
Today is DH's first day at the new job. I can't say that he looked very happy going out the front door. I felt like the Mom sending off her kid on the first day of school to meet a brand new teacher and the new kids in the class. I really can't imagine working some place for 30 years and starting from the bottom all over again. No seniority, no vacation or anything else. We're happy to have his paycheck back but I know he has a lot of mixed feelings about this whole thing. I hope he has a good first day. As always, I'll be a bag of nerves until I hear from him.
Another difficult morning to get myself out of bed. I was awake but kept saying 5 more minutes. It got to the point where I was really running out of 5 more minutes. Not quite the workout that I had planned but I guess something is definitely better than nothing.
Attitude still remains in the office. Apparently with this move the "powers" have decided that our office image has changed along with the change of address. Big debate going on over the new "lunch room" which is actually a folding table in the file room. We have a whole bunch of attorneys that we'll just say are less than neat after eating and apparently don't know how to clean up after themselves. The clerical staff doesn't use the room but apparently are supposed to make sure that the room is clean. I'm not sure where clean up crew is mentioned in any of our job descriptions. So now there's supposed to be a schedule for each one of us to clean up the room. Not sure why everyone can't just pick up after themselves but then again I haven't quite figured out the male mind.
Not much else going on around here. Hope everyone is well. I've been thinking of Margie, Margo and Shar and hope everything is going well with them.
Wow! I had trouble getting myself up this morning also, and this after going to bed earlier than usual (which I need to do all the time).
I did manage to get a workout in--Michelle Dozois's Walk Your Way Slim. I did about 25 minutes of it followed by a short yoga stretch from another dvd.
