Good morning everyone. For the past 2 weeks I have been awake at 4 every morning. First full day with chickens and I oversleep!

This week, I am thankful that we *finally* seem to have turned to corner on winter here in Michigan. This past weekend was sunny and very mild, so my husband and I did lots of spring cleaning, tidied up the yard, put out our yard furniture, and fired up the grill. We even walked to the corner dairy for some frozen yogurt on Saturday evening. (Of course, this weekend is supposed to be cold and rainy -- with a few snow flurries -- but I'm not thinking about that!)

As for today, I need to do some grocery shopping in preparation for having my in-laws' over for dinner Friday night. (I'm planning a healthy Indian menu, with veggie samosas, fresh mangoes, chicken curry with rice, and a light coconut custard.) I should also run out and get my hair cut, since I can barely see through my bangs these days. And, hmm, I suppose I should pay my taxes pretty soon...only a few days left!

Hope everybody has a good one,

Gosh Nancy sounds so darn perky this morning and that is one thing I am not. Did not get to bed until close to 11:30. Our friend showed up as I was turning the computer off, I folded yet another batch of laundry, washed my face, turned down the bed covers and hung up some of my clothes into my closet. Woke up around 3:00 and found Aunt Flo was here..............cat woke me at 5:30 running like the roadrunner, Katie came in at 6:05 to say the cat had her awake most of the night, I should have stayed up but instead I laid there. I am a complete downer this morning and I am so sorry. That is the last thing you ladies need to hear. I guess you can figure no walk this morning again. It is because I am not going to bed early enough. Bill & I just discussed this before he left to take Katie to school. We are all going to bed to late on work/school nights. Katie averages 10:00pm and we argue every morning because she gets up at 6:00am, takes her shower then lays back down until almost 6:50. With me getting angry because now she barely has time to get herself dressed, her hair done and some makeup. She never has time to fix her bed, pick up after herself or clean the cat box in her room. The days I do go to the gym and I walk back in at 7:15 Bill is just getting out of the shower and they try to leave at 7:30. Not always successful. Then its me yelling for Billy to get up and get in there so that I can get in by 8:00 and Rob 8:30........but as you can see that never happens. Billy just finished in there now so it's my turn. Well enough of my wine (anyone want cheese with this wine). I do hope you all have good days today. My thankfuls are: tommorrow I have off, warmer weather is coming, I had a big file close on Tuesday, my families health, my home, and my family & friends.

Patty, I've been waking up more during the night again the last few nights and it's so annoying. I guess a sleeping pill can go only so far to override stress and/or hormones. Hope you start getting some better nights sleep now that your birds are here and you're getting back into your routine. Also, hope Ryan works out a plan that will be right for his regarding his jobs. It's important to be happy and fulfilled when you spend so much time somewhere. Your run with Bob yesterday sounded very good.

Nancy, your day yesterday sounded wonderful. And, nothing mundane about your mom doing so well. I'm very happy for you and her. Hope you get the kind of weather you want.

It's a sunny morning and I think we'll be in the high 70's today. It would be a good day to start early in the yard, but I have to get the Yorkies to the groomer and dress for my luncheon/meeting prior to that. If I'm still up to it, I may get that 2nd flat of purslane planted around the pool later this afternoon.

Thankfuls:

1.

Good Morning,

It's been a very foggy day here so far but temperatures already in the 50's. They're actually talking about temperatures in the 70's. I would love to have some sun to go along with it.

Woke up with a terrible headache and just kept falling back to sleep so there was no workout this morning. Hope that breakfast and my cup of coffee brings the pain in my head to a dull roar.

DH's first day went as a lot of first days go-a bit overwhelming. He's doing Lincoln-Mercury now instead of Ford so although there's a lot of similarities there is the differences to learn. Lots of information and obviously not everything is going to sink in one day. He also didn't have a computer terminal to work on and from now until the first of next month when he can get a parking permit it's costing him $2.50 a day to park his truck in the town lot. He wasn't at all happy about that. The whole shop consists of guys that were either laid off from previous jobs or shops that have gone out so he's dubbed it the "orphan"shop. There are also several Pauls there so he's now known as "new guy". Really not sure how's he's feeling about all of this as there's still a learning curve and a new place to get used to. Hopefully this will all work out. The 60 day thing is still rolling around in the back of both of our heads.

Not much else to report. Work is still work-management hissy fit over something to do with the new coffee machine. I'm not touching that thing either.

Thankful that DH has a new job. Thankful for DH, kids and the ever wacky but cute pal Otto. Thankful for all of you here. Thankful for all the signs of Spring.

Nancy-your day out yesterday sounded so nice and that massage sounds oh so good! Great news about your Mom finishing up her treatment. Li-Deb-hope today is a better day and you're feeling better. Rhonda-keeping your dad in my thoughts and prayers.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hope the rest of the day gets better for you. Have you considered having Bill get the kids up? When Rob became so hard to get out of bed, I told Tim he had to start doing it, because I was not going to start every day so stressed. For some reason, kids seem to get out of bed better for dads.
