"For those who are willing to make an effort, great miracles and wonderful treasures are in store.

Good morning everyone! Yesterday I dozed off in the living room and woke up a strange noise. I looked over and saw that Bob was trying very hard to get something out of his box where his toys and chews are

Good Morning,

Your story about Bob made me laugh as DS went and got the dog food yesterday and left it in the living room. He was on his way to work and I asked him how long he thought that 40 lb bag would stay intact. I had pictures in my mind of 40 lbs of dog food all over the house and a dog that would certainly try to eat all of it.

The sky is blue, the sun is shining and the temperatures a bit on the cool side. The sun was shining yesterday morning too but didn't last long. Hopefully it will stay out all day and Otto and I will enjoy a little bit of the early evening sunshine.

It's Monday and still getting over that fact. Where do the weekends go? But hi-ho it's back to work I go. Hopefully the XY's will behave themselves.

I'm trying to adjust my morning schedule to DH's new leave for work time. It wasn't working too well this morning. The man couldn't find his jacket, couldn't find his keys and I was hoping for an extra cup of coffee left in the pot after he left so I could sit quietly with a cup of coffee but that didn't quite work out. This will be first full week and I know he's grateful for the job but it's quite obvious this is not where he wants to be. After working at the same place, with the same people and doing things much differently at this place I hope he'll get into the swing of things. Hopefully he'll have a computer terminal hooked up for him today. That was the other problem that he couldn't fully get involved in the job without a computer. I've finally worked out of the stress eating but could tell that's exactly what he was doing yesterday.

If you heard the ground rumble that would because I was finally able to get myself up and out of bed and down to the basement by 5AM. A few minutes on the treadmill and then did my Yoga Booty Ballet DVD. I'm just really glad that there's no one around to witness me trying to do the whole coordination thing. It's frightening. I guess why the treadmill is more appealing. A whole lot less to coordinate!

I had a great outdoor walk yesterday. In spite of the weather not being exactly what I would have liked I got out there and walked my little feet off. Felt so good!

Steak fajitas simmering away in the crockpot for dinner. I made the Spinach Artichoke Lasagna last night and if anyone is interested here's the recipe: it's a Weight Watchers recipe with a points value of 7.

Spinach Artichoke Lasagna

Ingredients:

3 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese, divided
2 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
1 tsp bottled minced garlic
1 (15 oz) container part-skim ricotta cheese
1 (14 oz) can artichoke hearts, drained & coarsely chopped
1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed, drained and squeezed dry
1 large egg. Lightly beaten
½ cup (2 oz) shredded part skim mozzarella cheese
½ cup (2 oz) shredded sharp provolone cheese
1 (25.5) jar Italian pasta sauce
Cooking spray
½ (8oz) precooked no boil lasagna noodles (6 noodles)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350

2. Combine 2 Tbsp Parmesan cheese and next 6 ingredients in a bowl; stir will. Combine mozzarella cheese and provolone cheese in a small bowl; toss well.

3. Spread 1/3 cup pasta sauce in bottom on an 8square baking dish coated with cooking spray. Arrange 2 noodles over sauce; top with half of spinach mixture, ½ cup shredded cheese mixture and ¾ cup pasta sauce. Arrange 2 noodles over sauce, and top with remaining spinach mixture and ¾ cup pasta sauce. Top with remaining 2 noodles; spread remaining sauce over noodles.

4. Cover tightly with foil; bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with remaining ½ cup shredded cheese mixture and remaining 1 Tbsp Parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered an additional 10 minutes or until cheese melts. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Cut into 6 equal portions.

Well the hour is drawing near where I need to get my act together and head out the door.

Nancy hope the day improves for you. Donna, hope the work week is a less stressful one for you. Hope everyone has a marvelous Monday!

We have a bucket for our dog toys too... On occasion Brutus will tip the whole thing over to get to something that is on the bottom... Maggie stands on the side and trys digging out what she wants... When we had friends over they gave me a bad time about the dog toys on the living room rug.. I told them I tryed to put them away but the dogs wouldn't leave them in the bucket.. Worse than toddlers some days.

Bob would love a bucket! He dumps his stuff out too. LOL What a mess he makes in the house!

We sure do have a lot of funk going around this place lately. Is it weather related or hormone related or maybe spousal related........who knows but I guess "we" are all related. Well it was a busy morning for me. Got my butt up and out the door to the gym this morning. Only walked 1 mile as my partner was not feeling well and wanted to head home early. But one mile is better then no mile, right? Jumped into the shower immediately upon getting home and got myself into the office at 8:45. However the bed did not get made and I will be taking care of that when I head home in a few minutes for my lunch break. Office has been extremely busy with phones ringing off the hook and clients popping in. Boss is at a closing and we have another one scheduled for 2:00, here in our office. My co-worker ran to the bank and I am waiting for a client to arrive so that I can have her sign an affidavit and notarize it. Then I will disappear for a few minutes to eat and organize the house. I have the counter guy coming tonight at 6:30 to show us a few things and discuss the matter in more detail. Bill & I found a really nice granite pattern we both love and of course it's at Home Depots top end of the price scale. Still less then Bill's dreams so that is a good thing. The
