Good Morning,

Another day of beautiful weather here on LI. Temperatures headed into the 70's. Oh the temptation to play hookey!

Trying to work off the crabby and foul mood I was in last night. After the day at work just everything was getting on my last nerve. DH's sister had her biopsy yesterday and as I was headed out the door with Otto I asked DH to remember to call her. This was as he was headed out to work on DS car. Of course it was outside to work on the car and then back in to watch the hockey game and he forgot to call. I know he feels bad and I just should have picked up the phone and called since I know his brain has more sieve like holes than mine at the moment. Then it was listening to the screaming and yelling from both XY's over the Ranger game and of course he didn't get to the dishes until well after 10PM and I had no desire to wait for him to finish and then go in and put everything away and wipe everything down. Dish doing for him never involves wiping down a counter or a stove top which is just another thing to rub me the wrong way. Yes, definitely crabby was my first, middle and last name last night!

Today is a new day and trying hard to adjust the 'tude. It will help with a visit to the therapist this evening. I had told her that I wasn't going to be able to continue with the sessions since it was an added expense to our already overcrowded and less funded account. She had called me and since she was going to be there anyway and paying for the space she offered me a couple of sessions. Definitely a thankful for the day since I could certainly use the session!

Not looking forward to the 9 to 5 but another issue that will have to be adjusted. It would be nice to be able to address the issue with the "powers" but when they choose to make a decision you don't question them on it-especially the older partner. He's very set in his ways and a bit of a dinosaur in his way of thinking and doing things. Their decision is their decision and to me obviously haven't put any thought into how their decision impacts the small remaining portion of the staff. As my coworker put it we're just the hired help. As DH put it-it's just a job and a paycheck. I've put 15 years of loyalty into the place and I think I'm done with that portion.

Unfortunately, Otto and I will not be able to go for our after dinner walk. By the time I get home, fix myself something to eat it will be time to head out the door again. But I'll make it up to him tomorrow.

I opted for a little extra ZZZZ's this morning. Body parts are stiff and sore from previous days workouts and Otto pulled me the wrong way last night and my shoulder took a beating. I've been so tired the past few days I decided today would be a good rest day. I've had 5 good days of workouts in a row so a day of rest for me.

Thankful for the beautiful weather of the past few days. Thankful for my 4 legged walking partner. Thankful for our health insurance-I took a look at the paperwork for a Cobra and almost fainted when I saw the $ amount! Thankful for food on the table and a roof over our heads. Thankful for the generous offer from the therapist. Thankful for the sounds and sights of spring. Thankful for all of you here.

Li-Deb-hope Katie's check up went well. Waving to you here in Nassau County! Nice surprise from the boss. It's great to be appreciated! Your kitchen plans seem to be shaping up nicely! How I would love to give my kitchen a facelift-tiny as it is!

That's about it from this neck of the woods. I must finish up and get ready for the "w" word. Hope the day passes quickly-this has been a very long week. 3 down two to go!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Susan

I'm thankful that this is the sort of spring day we folks in Michigan dream about all winter. It's sunny and headed for 70 degrees, and signs of new life are popping up all over. Fortunately, I don't have much on the agenda today but to get out and enjoy it. I'm planning to take my aunt to lunch, go for a walk, and then sit out in the back yard with a book. Chores and such can wait till tomorrow!

There is a creek that runs behind the houses across from us and spring comes the frogs.

Patty, before I forget again, I want to say that you and your sister have been in my thoughts and prayers. I hope all goes well for her and she's getting the support she needs at home.

It's a beautiful day here and should reach the high 70's. I'm thinking I'm overdue for a walk on the beach. The pool guy came this morning and we got on the subject, so now I'm really in the mood. There is a Zumba class tonight and it would help boost my energy level for that. I put 4 notices on various bulletin boards at the nursing home yesterday about the big Cinco de Mayo Latin Jam with live drums, since some people there are interested. Hope they'll come. I emailed others and have a flier to give my hairdresser who's taken some classes at Bailey's Gym. Sent my instructor some photos from the Winter Park Beto event, so she may use them on her web site.

I've got a musical card for Rob with a letter

You people are lucky in Florida to have talented drummers.
