It's another beautiful day here. Shortly after DH left for work I went out for a walk. It was a beautiful morning for that and the first Saturday that I've done that in quite awhile. Yes, DH is working today and it's so oddly quiet around here. DD stopped by for a few minutes between the her follow up visit with the oral surgeon and a nail appointment. So now DH is at work, DS is at work and DD has left so looks like I'll be doing a lot of talking to the dog.
It's not like it any other kind of Saturday-the messy weekend house is still here but I guess I'm just a little restless. Another new routine to get used to. DD suggested that I get my chair and sit outside. Unfortunately DH packs things away so that there is no way I can get to them. He's great at organizing and stacking away the mounds of clutter. He hesn't quite figured out that that isn't the solution to the problem.
Feeling rather unambitious at the moment and I really do have a ton of things to get accomplished. So I guess I'll finish my last bit of coffee and try to get started.
Patty-I would love to get into the bedroom and start decluttering. Unfortunately that would involve a dumpster and a whole lot of stuff that someone else would be wondering what happened to it. I've been pretty good about getting rid of things out of the closet.I think I'll wait until I'm sure the warmer weather is here to stay and then tackle that project and at least get a little more space for my stuff in there!
Karen-love, love, love your floors! We had a 1930's colonial when we lived in Queens with absolutely beautiful hardwood floors and a parquet floor in the dining room with inlaid wood as a border. Then we moved into a 1950's cape and when we pulled up the carpet hoping for hardwood we found a whole lot of green and brown linoleum. We scraped that all off hoping to find something nice but unfortunately all we found was floors that were damaged and patched so we opted to put down laminate flooring through the living room dining room and hallway. Also love all the sandals. I'm itching to do some spring shopping but trying to be real conservative at the moment so I'm staying away!
Rhonda-sounds like a fun time last night!
Nancy-have a great weekend get away! Would you like a stow away?
Donna-lots of activity up there in Beantown!
Cha/Cha Deb-I was struggling to stay awake until 10 last night too! I think I dozed off more than once!
Well time really is running away from me and have to get myself inspired. The windows with screens are opened and think I'll have to think up something to throw on the bbq for dinner! Hope all is well with everyone and enjoy your Saturday!
Good morning ladies.
Karen
