Gray and gloomy and very damp here on LI. They say no rain expected today but it's icky feeling.
It's Monday and can't say that I'm ready for it but I think I say that most Mondays. It was hard getting out of bed this morning and to the basement. I can't say that I did that in much of a timely fashion particularly since by the time I reached my destination I only had about 30 minutes to give to a workout.
DH got several calls last night that he should be expecting a call from the nearby hospital where he's had his sights on working. His former employer apparently knows people there. We've already discussed the fact that this may be another paycut and after having already taken one he thinks he can go lower. I'm not sure whose bills he's looking at. I haven't quite figured out the draw to this type of job other than it's something completely different and maybe something he needs to do. We'll see what happens.
Nothing much else going on in my world. Hope you're all doing OK. Grace, hope you're feeling ok. Margo and Margie were on my mind this morning too-hope you're both doing ok.
Well the work world will be calling soon and need to finish getting ready for work. Hope the start to the week is a good one.
Good morning everyone. Donna, thanks for the start up. Nice to hear lunch went well ;) I'm trying out some new schedules in CL right now. Growers are dealing with some challenges in the poultry

Good afternoon! It is your long lost cl. I am so out of the loop I think I am on another planet. I am sure tons of stuff went on here while I was going through a little bit of a set back and trying to "be there" for DD. Poor thing...her anxiety is so bad right now.
I had a CT scan today and so far all I was told is that I definitely do have diverticulitis but it is not anything acute. I am waiting for the doctor to call back and tell me exactly what I am supposed to do for it. I am still exhausted from the flu/virus I had too. I am still "taking it easy" quite a bit and find myself taking naps in the middle of the day.
Thanks Donna for starting the Monday post...looks like you got an early start all around. The town must be hopping with all the marathoners there.
Very nice pictures Deb/Mn. I already forgot what else was in your post. Oh that recipe sounds delicious. I can just smell it too! Karen...sorry you are so down today. Sounds like you have a lot of emotions going round and round. Susan, wishing DH finds the right job for him with the right pay so bill paying is not a cause of such stress. Jazzerdeb, your DH sure does eat very healthy breakfasts. Good job with the healthy eating.
Hope the chickees don't make you work too hard this time around. Good luck with this flock.

Hopefully your DH will get the job he wants Susan, is it totally different work than he's been doing?

Donna, does the city clear out pretty quickly once the marathon is over?

Am just polishing off a Kashi black bean mango frozen entree and reading your recipe.
Our Monday morning was spent in the car driving for 4 hours.
