I had one monitor go black on me quite a few years ago (like 10 years ago)

Hello, All! I posted the inspirational message before reading the Tuesday post today and I can't believe it tied into Patty's quote. Must be on the same wavelength.
I am feeling about the same today. I talked to the nurse practioner and now I am told I have diverticulosis...the itis part is gone. There are no blockages and my "woman" parts are normal too. So, I do believe this is something that will have to run it's course and I am to keep eating the fiber and try some probiotics. Easy enough! Of course, if I run fever or the pain gets worse I am to go right in and then I will have to follow up with a gastroenterologist. I can't be bothered with that right now...there is nothing they can tell me that the CT scan hasn't already shown and what I can learn on line. I hope to get my energy back and I am sure being sick zapped that. Five days of fever can do that. I am determined to go back to the gym tomorrow and hopefully do some weights today. I will deal with the pain/discomfort for now as long as I know it is nothing serious. I am ok with having less of an appetite. I lost 5 lbs and I am hoping to keep it off and keep on losing.
I quit the gym where I was teaching on Tuesday nights. I am now totally jobless except for subbing and doing paper work for the business. It is ok with me right now since I have 4 trips planned plus our FOF trip. I am going to NC April 30th for 8 days to visit and see the granddaughters compete in the state gymnastics competition. End of May I will be going back down to go to other granddaughters dance recital. I bit the bullet and I am going to Cozemel with my widowed girlfriend June 16th! Yes, I did it! I even have a passport already for 4 years and it is the first time I will be using it. Then in August there is a week in Maine with DD and her family. Wow...I am a traveling fool! Hey life is too short. Just learned a gym member died of breast cancer six months after being diagnosed. She ate right, exercised, wasn't overweight, took care of herself and went to the doctor as soon as she found the lump. She had a very aggressive type of cancer and chemo does not work on it. So...no more waiting around for life to happen. I am going

Wow, Julie...that line...Nobody has ever stood in my way more than my own self...really hit home here. Let's change it, OK? I like fake it til you make it too. It reminds me of smiling even if you have nothing to smile about and before you know it, your mood will change.
Good luck!!

Gosh, Susan...you have so much on your plate right now, I don't see how you could tutor too especially for someone who isn't reliable. You need the time for you and your walks with Otto...LOL!
What kind of job is DH actually looking for? Is he in sales? That would explain working in a fitness center. Just curious.
Glad you enjoyed the new food.

Gosh, I remember those days when I could teach 4 classes a day. Those days are long gone and well, it didn't do my body any good except wear it out a little faster. I know I can't teach morning and then the night anymore. Time to listen to my body.
Sounds like you are really doing well with the eating. Are you on a new program?
I get emails from Jillian Michaels. I think I signed up for them through yahoo mail. Sometimes the articles are inspiring and give me ideas.

Very nice boat. I bet DH is excited...men and their toys. My dh loves his boat even though he doesn't get out on it much anymore. I am "done" with it...I don't exactly enjoy fishing. I used to enjoy "boating" but got to be too afraid of the changeable weather and water conditions here in Long Island.
Hope the whole family gets to enjoy it!

Very interesting concept about not having to be an athlete to exercise...just make it a habit. I am always amazed at the different points of view that come up on this board. I bet a lot of people felt that way and gave up before they even tried.
Hope you get some good news with the MRI today. I am sure you will be happy to get your knee problems resolved.

Glad you had a nice weekend Lori! Sometimes those mundane things are very comforting. I actually missed cleaning when I was sick. I must have been delirious!
Have a good one and don't worry about catching up. It is almost impossible on this board!
