I really don't have any words of wisdom to share with you but I wanted to get Saturday going for us.

Good Morning,

Actually it's almost afternoon here on LI. DH was out the door by 7:30 to get to work. He still hasn't been able to move on past working on Saturday. The guys that he's working with are helpful and good to work with but it's still not where he wants to be and the parts/service coordinator is a bit of a flake.

So here I am at almost 11:15 and still in my pjs. I had come down to the basement to start the Saturday AM post and older DD called and then other DD called and I've been on the phone with her for the past 2 hours. We usually speak as she's on her way to or from work but it's been a while since we've really talked. We were actually both trying to get through our respective laundry piles as we chatted. We were discussing how DH has been so much like his old self in spite of everything that has happened in the past month and how at loose ends I seem to be at the moment. It's just an odd feeling almost like I don't know where I belong. My lack of friends around here and no real hobbies to dig into and definitely my lack of motivation and desire to get back into an exercise routine and this whole upheaval with DH's job just has me in a confused mental state at the moment. I think I'm going to take a few days to travel up to MA to visit with DD during one of my weeks off. She has some vacation time so I think I would leave on a Thursday morning and then travel home early on a Sunday. She was excited about the prospect and already had ideas of what we could do. She wants me to meet some of the people that she works with and I've heard so much about them. Some of them are around my age and they've become sort of a second family to her so she's already planning to have them to dinner while I'm there so we can meet. Lots of fun chatting and some more in depth talk as well.

I was supposed to go out and get some errands done but I've already crossed some of them off my list since I won't go out to some of these places and have to deal with the Saturday LI crowds. I do have to go to the vet and get Otto his heartworm pills. He looks forward to the pill only because it has to be layered in peanut butter in order for him to swallow it. Also a trip to the post office for some stamps.

I have a ton of things to do around here. At this point it's doubtful that most of the stuff will get checked off the list. I always go though a whole mish mash of guilt when things don't get done as I think they should. I'm very confused lately!

Well I'd better get dressed and get on my way! Hope your Saturday is a splendid one!

Having you talk about what you are planting in your containers makes me want to go and plant some, too.

That's what I'm going to plant in the pot a long with the lavender. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Rhonda had mentioned lavender one time and I almost think she said something about it being too hot for it

Sorry I've been MIA. It's been an emotional roller coaster and will be for a while. I was in the pool for the first time this year for over 2 hours and that seems to have rejuvenated me a bit. The water temp was up to 92, so it was almost like a bath and felt so good. I went over and told my neighbors with the little boy Jackson's age they were welcome to join me. She brought the baby and we were in over an hour. They loved it! We even got him to start putting his face partially in the water, because he was copying me. I had him "skiing" on my thighs and had him so relaxed floating on his back that he was almost asleep. Her husband came over and they couldn't believe it. The magic of Granmommy!!! :-)

Got a letter from Rob Thursday. That's gotten to be my favorite day of the week. He's still sick with a cold and has lost 15 lbs. Now we know where to go to lose weight fast. He said people have noticed. Can't wait to see how he looks. The group still isn't working together the way they should. He got to make his dream list of places to be stationed until he can get into avionics school. There's a 6 month wait for that. He put FL, CA, NC, and Hawaii (!!!) as his choices. I sure hope he gets FL. His school will be in Elizabeth City, NC, which is a 9 1/2 hour drive from here and really out in the boonies. I had hoped it would be closer, so it'd be easier to make a run up there for a weekend, but that's almost like driving to MD. I made it to MD one time in 10 hours.

Tim and I have been communicating a lot and I've seen him a few times. I think I posted that we got a lawn mower and that he mowed the front and back yards. He's going to replace the master tub water controls tomorrow. It was leaking for probably a month before he moved out, but he's only been
