After spending the AM on the telephone I ran out and did my errands and by the time I got home it was lunchtime. I ended up doing some reading and then really did mean to dig into some housework. I just couldn't get myself to do much so I decided to tackle our bedroom closet. It was definitely a job that I should have tackled early in the day. I really do a pretty good job of not holding on to stuff that I don't wear. The summer wardrobe could certainly use some updating. Then we got to DH's stuff-oh my! I once again found the 30+year old cologne and shirts that look like they came from the dawn of time. I never really finished the job since I need for him to seriously look through what came out of that closet. It's no wonder his stuff occupies about 3/4 of the closet. I'm hoping that he'll consider getting rid of some of the really old stuff and at least consider getting rid of the huge mound of sweatshirts. I did manage to sneak out a shirt or two of his that I have to confess are just seriously ugly! All in all not much accomplished around here except making a huge mess!
By late afternoon I had the overwhelmed and frustrated feeling set in so I headed out with Otto. I just can't be outside for too long the past few days. By the time I got back in my nose was running and my eyes were burning and itching.
I had no desire to cook dinner so I ended up having breakfast for dinner and made some pancakes and bacon. I've been on the see and eat diet today.
I think I'm headed for an early bedtime tonight. I had so much trouble getting to sleep last night.
I spent 45 minutes on my elliptical singing along with the Man of La Mancha (my teen was sleeping over a friend's, so there was no one to complain), then I put in another two hours gardening.
Are you in the Fairfax, VA, area? We have another board member there and another one fairly close. We're planning a Fit Over Forty board trip to Washington, DC, the first weekend of October, so you'd be right there.

Yesterday I turned over the soil, broke up the clumps (a clay that I've been mixing with topsoil bit by bit each year), and weeded.
