Good morning everyone. I thought we'd start this week by each of us taking and posting our measurements. ;) Just kidding!

That was in an email from a friend, and it was just what I needed to hear.Life rarely runs a smooth course and being able to adapt and adjust is what gets us thru and makes it easier. For many of us a normal day is rarely

Good Morning,

You Got me Patty...I read your opening line and thought ...is she crazy? but then I quickly thought...this is why it's always good to start my day with a dose of Patty wisdom.

Good morning everyone..........measurements........I thought is she crazy? The only thing that I measured is the steel cut oats in my bowl and my packet of equal. Hoping for a productive week myself and I figured this place was a good way to start off my day, not to mention I am waiting for my turn in the shower. No morning walk today, Aunt Linda's daughter is home for a few days (she lives in NYC), so she wanted a little morning time with her then she was going to head to Bill's shop to wish her sister (my MIL) a happy birthday.

Good Morning,

It's raining, damp and just gloomy this morning. The weekend once again has sped by and it's Monday once again. The last few days of the month of April (once again where did the month go?)and it's billing week at the office. I already got my memo on when the billing is supposed to go-duh! So I've got my work cut out for me for the next few days.

The shower was very nice. My sister has a huge house and we'll just say that her hallway housed 4 tables with 8 chair at each table, she has a sun room that housed another table and her buffet table and a table in her kitchen that probably house another 8 people. The tables had flower pot centerpieces with a gingham ribbon boys and lollipop sticking up out of them and little blue and pink booties filled with little candies. It was a very cute setting. Her dining room table held the beautiful cake and dessert. I wasn't sure when the mom-to-be and my nephew walked in whether she was truly surprised or whether she was absolutely horrified. Apparently she doesn't like and is very uncomfortable with being the center of attention. My sister was so nervous before they got there that she thought she was going to have an asthma attack. She is so excited about being a grandma! My niece was there with her little boy PJ who is 3 weeks old. He is so sweet and I got my baby holding time in. I jiggled him and got him right to sleep.

Got home to find that DH had disposed of nothing. The bin of clothes still sitting in the same spot and his winter coats-draped over the living room chair. My son's box from his car parts still sitting in the same spot with Sunday's newspaper decorating the top. The weeks mail sitting in a pile at my place on the table-I guess that was a hint to throw the junk mail away, the dishwasher full of dirty dishes and no I wasn't happy. I asked DH is he had gotten rid of anything. And of course the answer is-I wear all this stuff. And apparently his work stuff is going to be housed in the wardrobe closet in the basement that we pretty much can't get into and which I asked if we could please get rid of since it's one more place to store "stuff". I think I'm joining forces with Margie and wage war. On trash days, there is going to be things disappearing. It's the only way that I'm ever going to be able to get anything out of here. For everything he gets rid of he finds more stuff to bring in. The stuff he brought back to the house after losing his job exhausts me think about it. Maybe Margie and I should go find the lavender and peace together and send our husbands out dumpster diving!

I'm also angry at myself this morning. I was awake and yet didn't get up to get in any sort of workout. I know in my head that I mentally and physically need to work out but yet I'm so struggling with getting back at it so please take a number and kick me! Maybe I should post my measurements and maybe that would scare me enough although my upcoming visit to the doctor this month may also scare me.

Chicken spinach, artichoke calzones via Cooking Light on the menu this evening. And looking at the weather I don't think Otto and I will be heading out after dinner. Better get myself prepared and ready to head out the door for the workplace. DD took my umbrella hope I can find another one around here!

Hope everyone has a good start to the week ahead!
