Good Morning,

Repeat rain for the forecast today. They say it will go away and the sun will appear during the course of the day...we'll see. It's so damp and one of those days where you're not sure what to wear. This happens every year when I decide to pack the winter wardrobe but we're not quite ready for the lighter weight clothes. It was chilly in the office yesterday and I sat huddled in my sweater for most of the day.

DH is off today. I think he was planning on working outside but I don't think that's happening. I'll be curious to see if the bathroom that is screaming "clean me" and my less than subtle hints will be heard.

One of these days I'm actually going to surprise myself and hear the alarm go off and get myself up and out of bed and down to the basement. My workout clothes that are sitting there waiting for me and are feeling very unloved.

I spoke to DD in Reno last night. She apparently had someone on the flight being transported somewhere and for whatever reason in handcuffs and leg shackles and then another couple who were escorted off the plane by police. Interesting travel companions.

Lori-hugs coming your way once again and hope things can somehow settle down for you.

Donna-good luck with the deadline and dealing with all the rest that goes along with it!

Li-Deb-sorry to hear about your meltdown but sometimes there's only so much you can take. Good luck with the mammo and sonogram.

Patty-thinking about your sister a lot and sending her prayers and hugs for all of you.

Margie-hope you're feeling well and your recovery is going well.

Thinking of all of you and hope that everyone has a terrific Tuesday.

Good Tuesday All! What’s new and exciting in your part of the world? Any body-piercing, tattoos, new workout attire, i-pod music, spa vacations, sweating with household chores or icing sore muscles?
As I look out my home-office window, it looks as though we’ve been hit with a major “snow-storm” of pink cherry blossoms – enough that I could build…a not snowman….umm…oh, Pink Petal Person! ;-D
Our family came for a visit last week and was so glad for the fantastic weather! I was also glad for the extra exercise beforehand since we did a lot of walking in DC not to mention the yummy foods, and the delicious but also calorie-loaded wines at the local vineyards. Fun, fun, fun but my jeans are telling me that I need to do better. I have absolutely no workout planned today because naturally, both the kitchen sink and master bathtub are in desperate need of a plumber! Don’t you just love the 4-6 hour window-time that they may show-up? The one thing that seems to bug me more these days then ever before is wasting my time. Inevitably, time and health will slow me down and perhaps I will not be able to do what my youthful mind would like my not-so-youthful body to do but until that day arrives, I am squeezing every single drop of health and the youthful side of both my mindset and appearance. Dove does an excellent job of reminding women that we are all beautiful and for that, I applaud them! Okay, well enough rambling on as I sit watching for the Plummer and listening to poor Daisy meowing because I’ve had to lock her up in DH’s home-office for her own protection, I’m also reading Prevention Magazine’s “Fit Over 40” and am especially interested in the featured article, “Get Your Body Back in 28 days!” Hmmm, I’ll let you know…

Wrote a letter to Rob before heading to the Y for a Flexx-It and a Zumba class. My glutes, quads and shoulders are feeling it, but it feels good. I already dropped down to the next lower "10's" in weight, so that is motivating me. I want Rob to see a change in me too at graduation. :-)

Just checking in long enough to do a short post now. Need to wash off at the sink, put on a little make-up, and head to the nursing home.

Tim let me know he made it to Atlanta and will get to Dallas at 4. He's supposed to call or text then. I can't help it, but I still worry. I can't turn it off after so long.

I'm going to make my flight reservations for the DC trip this evening and reserve a room at the Doubletree where we stayed before. If anyone else wants to lock that in before gas prices go higher, go for it! :-)

More later.

Be kind to yourself and don't beat yourself up for not hearing the alarm. I think your body is telling you that you need sleep more right now. Remember...you need enough sleep to be healthy.

Hang in there...
