Found out someone very dear to me has bladder cancer - the kind the usual reoccurs. Spent most of this afternoon crying my eyes out. It also served as a reminder that I need to let everyone know how I feel about them... Life really is short.
Wishing you wellness and a wonderful day, Delighted Debra
Yep, Tuesday is coming to a close. My paycheck was earned at work, household duties completed, dog walked and had his doggie social time, healthy eating was almost complete until a certain chocoholic DD with a sweet tooth worse then mine and some PMS tossed in appeared after dinner with a box from one of the best bakeries ever. Contained in said box were these mini mousses. We shared a Black Forest one and then chased it down with a brownie done up with chocolate frosting on the top and the bottom is laced with sprinkles of granulated sugar. I guess it was a good thing that Otto decided that the first two blocks of his walk were at a run so I could burn off about 10 of the million calories I consumed-but I have to say oh it tasted so good!
DH is attending his last computer class. His coats are still in the living room chair but the bathroom is clean so I guess one out of two isn't too bad!
DD wants to throw a surprise 60th for DH in June. We were attempting to compile the guest list. Not sure what I'm going to do with 40+ people in my teeny house if it rains!
Li-Deb-so glad to hear that a sonogram wasn't needed and that everything went well with your mammo.
Donna-homemade mushroom ravioli-yum! Fortunately my DH never minds breakfast for dinner! I'm also thinking Shannon and Derek-and your favorite is?
I'm now headed up to my reading chair before turning on the TV for a bit. Hope you've all had a good day.
I know it's crazy, but I just finished eating dinner! I had taken stuff out for my version of a spinach salad before Dancing with the Stars and got sidetracked with TV, problems with the Travelocity website (resulting phone calls and going with Expedia instead because Travelocity wanted an extra $25. to book my flight because THEIR website wasn't working right), a call from Tim from Dallas (pre-meeting went well), a call from Erin letting me know she CAN go to Rob's graduation (Hurray!), and so on. I ended up putting a South Beach entree in the microwave and having a Kashi muffin with it. Hope I won't pay for eating so late.
I got in a good bit of exercise today. This morning I did Zumba and Flexx-It and tonight I did Zumba with my favorite instructor. It was high intensity and I was dripping wet all over. We had some really good new songs. Sometimes I wonder if she doesn't put some of her own in there, because she's such an awesome dancer/choreographer.
Rob's recruiting officer sent me some great detailed info. about his duty station in Riviera beach. Among the stats, avg. summer temp. 95, avg. winter temp. 70. Closest town is Palm Beach (Aaaaahhhhh!) -
I tried all day to get through all the posts, but they actually expected me to earn my keep, so I couldn't hang out with the rest of you today.
