Good morning all!
Its kind of a challenging day for me with puffy eyes, color drained from my face and headache as I think about of my dear friend, his wife and 7-year old twin children. By all accounts, he is healthy! He does all the right things, and his parents lived a very long time (his mom had him in her 40’s – surprise!). It is a real mystery as to how he could have bladder cancer. He also went into kidney failure, as the Nurses apparently didn’t check that the I.V. was going into his system but no output! Fortunately, family friend that also happens to be a specialized physician checked on him and got that situation under control without dialysis. We are on standby to pick up the children from the airport and care for them should he need additional surgery. They don’t know the extent of their daddy’s illness. During his recent surgery, they found two additional masses for a total of four and makes his wife wonder if there could be more. I love them all so much and I am so scared for them…it hurts me to think about it. Please join me in sending positive thoughts and prayers for Donald Bernhardt that he may have a rapid recovery and return of health and wellness. Thank you.
Delighted Debra

What a very tragic situation. It reminds me of the man who gave and wrote The Last Lecture and has pancreatic cancer and a wife and 3 children of various ages. You can't help but wonder WHY??? I will definitely include your friend and his family in my prayers.
Hugs to you.

Good Friday Morning All!
Thank you so much for all your prayers and positive thoughts. It's so nice to know that I can count on you for support in time of need. I really do appreciate it. Yesterday, Donald's doctor appointment went well however he needs to return to the hospital for another procedure in two weeks. They will be looking for additional tumors. I have told my dear friends that I want to start planning a big, fancy celebration in April 2015 - 7 years cancer-free. I think it's still 7-years they use as a measurement of treatment success. Anyway, I'm going to remain positive and I know you all will remain positive right along with me and I thank you all so much for that...
Hugs, Delighted Debra
