No mint juleps for me, and I'm glad I didn't watch the race after hearing that the runner-up had to be put down right there on the track due to 2 broken ankles. I hate stuff like that!
I did have one of the best days I've had in a long time. Wrote a letter to Rob and got that and a card in the mail to him.
I was ready for a nap after reading that post! Your little neighbor boy is such a cutie! It sounds like they enjoy your company as much as you enjoy theirs.
Busy and productive day around here. Otto spent most of his day getting washed & fluffed, nails trimmed and ears cleaned. The dog who never barks was woofing away while waiting for the groomer to come get him. I guess that was his way of protest. On the way home he managed to wiggle his body through the two front seat and into the passenger seat. I guess I should be glad he didn't try to sit in my lap. He must have been exhausted as he went outside and did his business and then headed right back to his bed and I didn't see him for the rest of the afternoon.
My vaccum is finally able to breathe again after changing the bag and filters. No wonder I didn't think it was picking up very well. I donned my hazmat suit and headed to the upstairs bathroom. My DD made me laugh when she stopped by yesterday and asked me why boys are so sloppy in the bathroom. She must use the bathroom upstairs with her eyes closed. The washer & dryer whirled and twirled throughout the day and I do believe I heard the kitchen floor say thank you after a good floor cleaning. Otto did get a nice walk outside although the few glimpses of sunshine we had were much earlier in the day.
Betty Crocker even appeared and DH got a nice Saturday night meal of baked chicken. And Betty has also got her meals lined up for next week.
I'm glad that I didn't see the Kentucky Derby. I saw the article in the paper this morning about the horse and that was just horrible.
Rhonda your day exhausted me just reading it, lol. You are so sweet to have your neighbors over for that swim. How long have they been your neighbors? Their little guy looks really sweet. So glad you heard from Rob by mail and phone this week.
Well my Saturday was busy but not crazy. After I checked in here in the morning a few minutes after there was a knock on my door. It was my parents, they were have trouble with their pickup truck and were looking for Bill.
Yes, I am here but I'm not sipping mint Julep's.
