It's a sunny and blue skied morning and temperatures are supposed to very nice. It would be a nice hooky day...
No healthy activity for the morning. Overslept-one of those nights where I woke up about 11:30 and thought it was time to get up and then tossed and turned and of course when the alarm went off that's when I fell into a really deep sleep. I guess I'll just have to rely on stair climbing at work and dog walking and hoping Otto steps lively for at least part of the walk. He picks the pace and there's just no changing that dog's mind!
The boss is out for the next few days so the office should be fairly quiet. I shouldn't say that because disasters can loom and rear their ugly heads at any time in legal eagle land.
Trying out an experiment for dinner. We'll see how it goes. Experimentation can go either way around here.
I've swirled and twirled laundry this morning, a quick clean up of the bathroom and picking up some the doggie hair balls. How quickly they accumulate.
Nothing much else going on around here. Rhonda-hope you're able to get the eye checked out. Nancy-great job on that power walk. Lori-hope you're feeling better and the mucky mucks leave you alone. Don't you love being told to behave yourself at work? Enjoy your time at the homestead. Donna-hope all is well with you. Patty-hope those chickens are behaving themselves. Grace-when are you headed back home? Li-Deb-how's things at your end of the island? C/C-Deb-remember to drink, drink, drink-you scare me sometimes! Margie-hope the dr's appointment went well. Deb/MN-how's everything? Margo-thinking of you and the stress of having the ex around. Karen-how's the inlaw drama? Hope you'll get your bedroom back. I know that would drive me nuts on both things!
Better face up to the fact that I need to get ready to head into work. I'm still contemplating what to wear so I'm half staying at home dress and half work wear.
Wow is that quote ever the truth! I have do not have the oomph to exercise when on "vacation" and I am dressed to go out for a walk and still haven't done it. But, I did force myself to do some military type push ups and it got my heart pumping and I feel more energized. I know it was something small but it really did make a difference. I did clean the bathroom, cleaned the kitchen floor, did 3 loads of laundry and emptied the dishwasher & cleaned up the kitchen some. Aren't I a good house guest? LOL!
It is my last day in NC and I can't believe the visit went so fast. I take off at 2:20 pm tomorrow from Norfolk. What a nice airport...just my size...smallish.
RHONDA...please let us know how it goes at the doctors or where ever you go for your eye. Do NOT Delay!!!
NANCY...it is completely understandable that getting your new pantry drawers is an exciting event. I couldn't imagine having to give up even one of my kitchen drawers. Hope you get that computer very soon!
That is all I can think of for now. I can't believe how quickly I forget what I read.
Have a super day. It is so sunny and warm here today, I feel reborn!
Good afternoon ladies. I will join your challenge especially since I need to loose the weight and inches. I will take my bloody measurements tonight when I change into my PJ's but I won't be posting them, lol. But starting today I will go back to my food journel and exercise. I did manage to get up this morning and walk. It was at a slower pace since I awoke with a slamming headache and Aunt Flo. I just wish she would skip me every so often. I have so many of the other signs..........I need to get that proceedure done and get back to the doctor this coming month. Anyhow we have beautiful weather here today, I believe we are supposed to be in the mid 70's. Dinner last night was out at our favorite local Mexican place which was a nice treat but tonight I think some grilled chicken will be on the menu. I am planning on grabbing hubby and going for a walk, he can use the exercise too. I have a grocery order coming from Peapod sometime after 5:30 so I need to check my estimated time for delivery. Katie's attitude has been better, she claims to understand but if you want my honest opinions, she still does not have a clue and is doing the typical teenager song and dance to get her "stuff" back but I aint ready to hand anything over for a few weeks. She is on limited TV viewing (mind you her stuff is disconnected from the basement so she can only watch our family TV in the den), she is not allowed on the internet either and I still have possession of her phone. Thinking of making matching candle stick holders with the two pink razors........lol. Well I am at work and I have lots to do but I want to take my lunch break today and I want to get out of here ontime at 5:00 (maybe 4:30 if I try hard). Hope you all have a wonderful day today!
Good morning ladies.
Lori
