Well you can change jobs but you sure can't change the people who employ you. I renewed a prescription this morning only to have a call from the pharmacy that our benefits were terminated. Thinking it was a mistake I called the prescription plan who said no your benefits were terminated 4/30. Thinking again it's just an oversight since it's the same local, same insurance just a different dealership-wrong again. Apparently the new employer didn't pay his benefits for the month or unless gets this settled not for next month. Apparently when he said "60 days" he didn't clarify that that included not paying our health benefits. So I now have a prescription that unless I come with the cash I can't refill and a probably $300 doctor's appointment that we're not covered for and Two other prescriptions that I need to have refilled. I called DH and apparently when they hadn't taken union dues out of his paycheck he asked one of his coworkers when they take them. When he found out that they were taken out last week he knew there was a problem. He went to the office and was told there was a 60 day hold on our benefits. He has a call into the union rep and apparently he and the parts/service coordinator who hired him are going to have a chat. What is wrong with people?

Oh my goodness Susan! That is awful! So sorry to hear this. You were certainly blindsided with this one. I hope something can be resolved with the union and the employer.

Re: What is wrong with people? I do not know and often wonder the same thing.
You want to know how much I want to believe it was just an oversight, but can't muster that kind of good faith?

It was really low of them to leave you in such a lurch. They could have tried to prepare you somehow to prevent this. I hope it works out well and soon.
