Happy Mother's Day! To those of you fortunate enough to still have your mother, make it a special day for her and cherish that time.

It's kind of overcast here this morning. Last night there were tornado watches for several nearby counties. The only time we've had a tornado hit here was, ironically, on Mother's Day back in the 1970's. I think it was before Erin was born. We just had some corn in our garden blown over, but just down the street from us when the area was more rural, a trailer was blown over and a large brick house near it had its 2-car garage destroyed. It was part of the house and it was as though someone had taken a knife and cut it away from the house then stomped it. Hope that's not the case this year. We've had a very windy spring though and I'm ready for the wind to ease up.

Tim will be here about 10:15. We're meeting Erin, Joe, and Jackson at the church she used to attend when she lived in the next county. We're close to the county line and so is the church, so it's actually a good bit closer than our church. Can't wait to see Jackson!! From there we'll go to the nursing home and visit a bit, then head to a Red Lobster near the nursing home. I'm looking forward to all of us getting together for lunch and getting Dad out for a while.

Mom called last night and said she thinks Dad is slipping back again. I noticed he seems to be a little less able to comprehend some of the things that are going on around him too. I told her I think he needs to have

Happy Mother's Day to all!

It's a beautiful morning here. Why is it so easy to fall asleep in a chair and then when you go to bed the wheels start turning. The weirdest things were going through my head last night and it must have been 3-3:30 before I finally went to sleep.

It's the usual Sunday morning go to the grocery store thing and then a trip to have my nails done. Not sure what else the day will have in store. There was a bit of an altercation between DD and DH this morning. He just doesn't seem to want to listen to her opinion and sort of dismisses her. They are both opiniated and sometimes just the tone of their voices can set things off but I didn't take what she said in that way and of course now she's upset and DH is clueless.

Anyway, he's taking a trip to the cemetery this morning. I think he wanted me to go along but truthfully that's not what I had in mind for the day. DD and I might engage in a game of Scrabble where I'll be defeated once again-just can't win that game with her as an opponent. Maybe some reading time and I do think that my underwear drawer is about empty so I actually might have to do some laundry.

We have all kinds of things to put on the bbq tonight and I did pick out a 7 layer cake for a Mom's Day dessert. One of my favorite cakes and as my FIL was a baker and he made an outstanding one we'll have to see if this one can compare.

Patty-great job on fitting in those jeans. I'll be thinking of your sister and saying prayers for her that all goes well for her.

Rhonda-have a great day today! I'm so glad that you were able to talk to Rob.

Margo-that was so sweet of your son! They can surprise us at times.

Hope everyone else is well and hope each of you enjoys your day!
