I was quite a shrew at times myself today. It started off when Tim didn't even get me a Mother's Day card. I didn't expect a gift, under the circumstances, but I'm still the mother of our son, we get along well, and I'd have gotten him one for Father's Day. Guess I should lower my expectations, so my feelings won't get hurt.

I liked Erin's church. The pastor was very good. They have 2 huge services. We watched the first one let out and went into a packed house for the 11:00 AM one. Jackson went to the 1 yr. olds nursery and joined in immediately. His eyes are just amazing! He looked so adorable in khaki cargo pants, a deep taupe polo and a white sweater vest with pale blue and shades of taupe argyle pattern on the front. I think I got him the sweater vest (and probably 75% of his other clothes since he was born. It's a sickness...). I just happened to wear a sweater with a diamond pattern that looked almost like argyle.

We went to the nursing home and that's when things really started falling apart. I won't go into all the boring details, but the problem was mainly that

Lauren's had so much rain where she is that she and the girls are stranded on the island and her husband can't get on it from work! That's a real problem there. My sister almost didn't make it off and Lauren said they should have gone with her, but she was just too sick. I'm worried about them.

We have tornado warnings in nearby counties till 9:30. I have my lantern out and if I need to I can grab a twin mattress and climb in the bathtub!

Take care. I saw someone was killed in a storm near Macon yesterday and there are still storms in GA.

I think rhododendrons and peonies are 2 of the prettiest flowers there are, and we can't grow either of them down here. I'd love to see a picture of your blooms.

Thank-you for your good wishes for all my family. I'm very happy you were able to have such a lovely day with your mother. I'm sure it was special for her too. Continued prayers for her complete recovery and good health. The food sounded heavenly!
