Oh there is no way I could eat Sushi without rice! I wish the places around here offered brown rice but they don't and well...I need some rice/carbs when eating raw fish!
These tips are good for people who eat out a lot. I don't and well with my heart health history, I have to follow most of these tips. However,
Lori...all you do is amazing. Taking care of DH, puppies, housework, outside work, going to work, drumming, sewing, dancing...Wow! I thought I saw that too about you looking good and being a wonderful dancer. I loved being able to see your dance on that video you posted for us to see.
Take care of you, girl! Gotta do what works and doesn't cause stress and feeling cr*ppy.
Thanks for your input....your posts have been great to read.
I find I cannot count calories...it makes me nuts as well as counting WW points. I obsess over the amount of points in each and every food I eat
Grace, me too! I read something from Jullian that said you have to give up somethings and stay disciplined while trying to lose the weight. Once you reach your goal you need to give yourself more slack. I
Just my 2 cents worth on eating out...............we eat out lots compared to many. I went years without because of only one salary, kids being little....etc. Now we go in spurts, but when I do eat out I try to make healthier choices yet I still like to enjoy the moment of going out. When we go to our favorite Mexican joint I order the fajitas now instead of the seafood enchilladas w/cheese. I might have a few chips but then stay away from the warm bread. If I choose a slice of bread, no chips. Always have Sangria...........always. Italian, its got to be pasta. Although last week I went with the shrimp scampi over rice. It was good but hey if I am eatting Italian give me the carbs. I usually drink a diet soda or water with lemon. I try and keep my bread basket to one slice/roll. Always a salad............occasionally dessert. And I do mean dessert is a rare treat. Steak place, well love a good steak but then I choose a bake potato and the vegtable. Usually we frequent our local dinner and he makes the best tossed salad with grilled chicken on top. I take my dressing on the side and dip. I guess here is half my problem with my weight yet you have to live and enjoy yourself. If giving up a steak for a baked chicken well then I might as well remain home and save money. That is my attitude. I think having a salad with dinner, limiting your bread and appitizers helps. Not drinking 5 cocktails with dinner helps too. Saturday night I thought lets be good and do the scampi but I have to say although the shrimp was good I missed that bowl of homemade pasta with the sundried tomatoes, creamy tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, sauteed spinach and chicken..............................Rigatoni Theresa! Guess what I am ordering next time!
