Shovel party at my house tonight! Anyone have this problem with their husbands or men in their lives; you talk to them but they don't hear??I asked DH last week if
My day in the Big Apple has come to a successful end. Miserable cold, damp and rainy walk back to the train station and ended up waiting for the same train as yesterday so I wouldn't have to transfer trains. Once I've run for one train don't want to run for another!
I was glad I brought a variety of reading materials with me today and a couple of crossword puzzles to break up the day. It was nasty and miserable on the walk to the client's office this morning so I stopped and bought myself a cup of tea-that really hit the spot. They seem to order lunch in their office around 3PM so I was also glad that I came with a well stocked tote of not too bad for me munchies and had them get me another cup of tea when they got lunch. I got home and realized that my boss was probably going to need the originals of the materials I had with me for court tomorrow so ended up going back to the office to drop off the originals. I'm supposed to be getting some comp time on Friday for this little journey of the past two days.
DH called the hospital and spoke to the woman who interviewed him and apparently there are no openings for him. I know he was very disappointed by the news. So it's back to the drawing board.
I'm in a bit of a feud at the moment with the mail order pharmacy. I called to check since I haven't received either prescription and was told that they were never processed and the prescriptions are now expired. To say that I was seeing red was an understatement. I've now looked at both bottles and both prescriptions were written on 5/22/07 which means both of them are still valid. Looks like another phone call is in order.
Healthy activity of the day was walking up and down the stairs at both train stations, walk to and from Penn Station.

Breakfast-Kashi Healthy Oat cereal w/skim milk, banana slices & strawberries, whole grain toast w/peanut butter, oj & coffee
No lunch but I did have a portion size of pretzels, some Fiber One cereal, 100 calorie pack of Cinnamon graham crackers, 2 cups of tea
Dinner-pasta w/meatballs
I'll most likely be looking for some type of snack at some point just don't know what it will be yet!
That pretty much sums up the day. Hope yours has been a good one!

I’m really not sure how much you can pack into one day … but today was definitely a full day!!

Nancy, I'm so sorry to read about your DS. Thinking about him.
Patty, you can borrow my shovel...it's fresh from digging the hole on Sunday.
