Happy Memorial Day everyone! I was watching some of the special Memorial Day coverage on tv and was just so humbled by it all. To think of all the brave men and women who sacrifice so much so we can enjoy the freedoms we do.
Definitely a day to reflect on those who have served and given their lives for this country and those that are far from home today. Thoughts and prayers to all of them and their families.
It's another beautiful day. Thoughts of staying in bed just a few minutes longer but really wanted to get out there for a walk and enjoy the beautiful morning.
DH and I enjoyed our egg white omelettes that I made for breakfast and as soon as I finish saying my Good Morning Hello to all my favorite ladies I'm headed back to the kitchen to make a pasta salad, and get a dry rub onto my ribs and a bbq sauce made for them. I'm also doing some chicken kabobs for this evening. DD and BF are coming by and I'm hoping that maybe when DS sees ribs on the menu we might entice him to stay for dinner. He gave me the thumbs up on the blueberry coffee cake last night!
I have lots of things on my mind for an agenda today just not sure what direction to take. The house is calling my name but so is some outside work today. Whatever route I take I'm sure that it will be more than I can possibly accomplish in one day.
Good morning. I've been resting a lot and I'm hoping that's helped, because despite the bad cough still, my nose is almost clear for the first time in over a week. Whatever I've got has been saving me from myself during this holiday weekend. When the guys got the lovely buffet at our favorite waterfront restaurant for brunch and had 2 and 3 platefuls, I got 2 mini muffins and 2 strawberries, so I could take my medicine. I didn't really even want that. Yesterday, I lived on Sunmaid raisin bread. That was the only thing that appealed to me the rest of the day, and it was evening before I got that. I have lost 15 lbs. this go-round. I'd like
Watched Mem Day stuff on TV this morning while doing dishes and cleaning up the kitchen - last night Ry was talking about his friend in Afghanistan - There are times when I am so glad he is out.

I've watched a bit of the Memorial Day coverage this morning with my cup of coffee in hand, secure in the comfort of my home.
