Is it ever okay to fake it?

Ever backfired and simply not believed?

Ever regret faking it?

Speaking of rings..one of my students looked at my wedding ring yesterday and asked...is it real?

OK my mind is still in the gutter here. Lets be honest what was everyone first reaction to that question. Mine was sex and the honest answer is yes. I used to when I was yonger then I realized I was only cheating myself. Now I am more demanding, lol. Not sure if my husband appreciates it but at least now he knows I am honest. You should have seen his face when I told him I had "faked it in the past" he was absolutly shocked. Boys are stupid!

Thanks Rhonda........you know what I don't fake anything anymore. If my feelings are hurt I let them know, if they make me mad then I let them know, if I want cheese I let them know, if I am not happy I let them (him) know, lol. Life is too short. On an another subject.......I was getting very resentful this past week because I felt like the kitchen project was being pushed aside because its "racing season". After talking with Aunt Linda on our walk on Friday I realized my resentfulness was being directed towards everyone, not fair. Bill and I had a long pow-wow Friday night. As a result we picked out or cabinet hardware, our faucet and he is calling the counter guy today.

Good for you! I'm of the "What You See is What You Get" school myself. I try to be considerate, but I'm pretty open with my feelings unless it's not appropriate.

Happy to hear you're making progress on your kitchen!

Not sure we are allowed to discuss this kind of stuff on ivillage but I guess I will find out soon enough, plus I don't have much girl friend time anymore. See since I have started my "night sweats" and have been stuggling to loose these wonderful mid 40 pudge I have little to no sex drive. I could go 2 weeks without thinking about it. Add in the house chores, my job, my running around and helping everyone do everything when this body hits the bed it wants sleep. My husband on the other had never misses a beat. In 27 years of marriage I think I have only heard he was too tiered for sex maybe 10 times. One of our sulllutions it setting the clock. Yes you read this right. Now don't you ever tell Bill I am telling you guys this. It's our secret, ok? With teenage sons that come and go at odd hours we find "quiet time" at night almost impossible with out me falling asleep way before that. Plus in these old houses we have only one bathroom upstairs that is shared between Bill/I, Rob and Katie. So our solution is to agree on setting the clock for like 5:00. We have our little fun, then reset the clock. Heck it works and keeps us both happy "most" of the time. But Karen I have to say there are times when I am just not in the mood and just to get it over with quicker I say oh baby! LOL! Now if you read this far and have kids then you understand how difficult it is to find time.
