Are you ready to tackle Friday and then go into a great weekend? Any plans for Father's Day?

Just realized that I signed in through Mozilla and I don't have access to the bigger fonts. Also, I have to change my signature...better get to that and it makes me sad...

No fitness for me today but I am ok with that. I am planning 1 1/2 hours of inten-sati and then teach to the seniors for an hour. Got a lot done today with running errands in between the "me things" and I even dyed my hair today and did a pretty good job.

We are meeting at DD's house for Father's Day. Just a simple barbeque since the christening for grand baby #9 is the following Sunday. I am ok with simple with the trip the next day.

The post from Rhonda and all your responses really have me feeling luckier than ever for finding and being part of this board.

What a beautiful day weather wise we've had here. I went out at lunch and sure did wish I didn't have to go back in an office building.

I was supposed to have a therapy session this evening but she had a family emergency and had to cancel. DH called shortly after I got home and said he was running late which was fine since I called it leftovers night. Apparently leftover night and Friday take out night is one in the same with Otto who was looking for his special treat. I always give him a chewing bone on Friday night so he must have figured that since I came home, wasn't cooking that it meant a special treat. He really is quite the dog! After our feast of leftovers and my special treat of a dish of Mint Chocolate Ice Cream with Cool Whip and chocolate syrup (yes I had to have something sweet this evening!) it was out for our nightly walk. Certainly didn't burn any calories but it was a great evening walk. After the past few days of heat and humidity it was nice to see people out enjoying the weather.

No formal exercise today. It was a day off and just a day to relax. I did some reading while waiting for DH to come home and I enjoyed sitting outside for a bit in my chair while waiting for Otto to finish chewing his bone. I had DH's little spy glass trying to get a glimpse of the baby bird still inhabiting the bird house but didn't see it sticking its head out tonight.

I got a call from my sister with an update about Ellie. My other sister is sort of the liason between the children and the rest of us. It seems to be a very complicated and confusing situation with multiple things going on including internal bleeding. They haven't ascertained the extent of the stroke since they haven't done an MRI because of another medical condition that my sister which necessitated metal weights in her eyelids. I've done enough reading to know that stroke victims need early intervention but it doesn't seem like that is happening Her son wants her moved to medical facility which he feels would be better able to deal with the medical issues (which my sister and I concur) but her dd doesn't want that. And the other son is in NJ on a business trip but apparently hasn't felt the need to come back. They can't give both medication for the bleeding and the stroke since they counterindicate one another. They had a speech therapist come in I guess to do an evaluation and had her sing Happy Birthday which she could do but then asked her to sing the ABC song and she repeated Happy Birthday. None of it sounds very good and most of it very disturbing. Thanks for all your prayers I really appreciate it and I think she's going to need a lot of them.

That's about it from my world. I think I'll get my shower in and head back to my book or the remote-not sure which at the moment.

Hope everyone enjoys a good night's rest.

My Thursday turned into a very busy one..........so what else is new? Started off with my morning walk, came home and got Bill and Katie out the door. Sometime between me heading off for my walk and them leaving Rob headed to class. Billy was gone by 8:00. By then I had baked a batch of brownies, made the beds and folded a batch of laundry. I headed to Target to buy some water for Bill's trip and then I headed to the post office to mail a package. Came home to fold yet another wonderful batch of laundry, turned the dishwasher on and I washed my kitchen floor. I read my book for a little while before jumping in the shower and heading into the office for half a day. I was busy there with normal stuff but had to jet out at 3:30 to pick up Katie, she stayed for extra help in SS since her final is this coming Monday. Droped her home, said bye to Bill and ran back to the office until 5:10. Came home...........emptied the dishwasher, folded the last batch of laundry and read my book some more. I just finished my dinner a little while ago and I am heading upstairs soon armed with my book. I am totally addicted to this series! I really need to be in bed at a normal hour since I need to get that walk in early and I need to get Katie to school for another extra help session in SS. Then into the office where I promise to post the Friday Five since I wrote the questions out on my steno pad through out the week as they came to me.........lol. (So don't look for them before 9, but I will post them!) Hope you all had a wonderful day and are having a nice night.
