Susan, so good to have you back! I tried to post under yours, but I kept getting boxes wanting to navigate away from the page. I'm sorry to hear your sister is in rough shape. Such a shame there's not a larger medical center nearby that's better equiped to deal with such illnesses. I'll continue to keep her in my prayers. Sounds as though plans for the party are coming along nicely, particularly since DH is doing part of the work. We may want to save at least one of those shovels to just hit your boss upside the head and try to knock some sense into him! ;-) Best of luck with the lawn restoration.
I meant to say yesterday how beautiful all of the flower pictures were. I really enjoyed them and appreciate you guys sharing them with us. The photos were good too, nice clarity and bright colors.
I had a lovely call from Nancy this morning, which was such a great way to start my day. Again, Nancy, I really appreciate that. She's a fun conversationalist and a great listener. We both were talking about how much we're looking forward to the FOF trip in the fall! :-)
Cheryl and I sat up and talked until almost 4 AM this morning! Brings back memories of decades ago when we'd sit up till like 5:30 at her house on the days I arrived. Haven't done that in ages. I got in bed at 4:00 on the dot and woke up at 7:00 on the dot. Three hours is about as long as I go at one stretch, then it's wake and doze, wake and doze... She got dressed and headed to the nursing home around lunch time to be with Dad. I was running a little later and got there toward the end of lunch.
I left about 3:30 and went to a health food store, then went by to see Rob's recruiter. I had a feeling Rob might call any minute to let me know about his test and wanted to be there. I wasn't there 5 minutes before the call came. Chief Rank answered the phone and said, "Well, did you pass the test, Skumbag?!?" I know that was a shocker. Rob didn't get certified, but he did pass the test. That may sound weird, but he knew all the material they gave him to learn, but he didn't know how to handle some situations that you would learn from experience. One of the board members who was quizing him threw his paper in the air and it landed on the floor,
Margo,Whine away.. holy cow... That's a lot of hours ... and things to handle on the home front.... YIKES... Hang in there... Good thoughts and strength coming your way...
Oh you are so not a whiner and yes you get my vote for the worst week ever. I hope you can enjoy your weekend celebrating your Mom's birthday and I do hope that the work situation improves for you.
Wish I could do more than send you cyber hugs but here they are (((((((hugs)))))))))) Margo.
Let's see.. I already told you that I worked a short shift today.. Longer day tomorrow.. 8:30-6:30... YUCK.. but it's only one day this week.. and after reading Margo's post I am feeling lucky... Margo you are a strong woman.. Hang in there.. I know I couldn't do it...
