I am so confused about the day of the week-yesterday I thought it was Wednesday, today thinking it was Thursday-boy am I going to be disappointed tomorrow to discover it's Thursday!

I don't know who doled out the happy pills to the boys today-maybe they heard my thoughts about shovels. I went and had my test done which got me into the office about an hour late. My boss came right over to make sure that everything was OK which is actually kind of the normal side for him. The other boss came out of my office and wanted to make sure that everything went ok and if everything was ok. I got handed my memo back with an OK about vacation week. I have a feeling that the partners had lunch yesterday to discuss memos and such. Apparently my coworker was the topic of conversation yesterday since she hadn't done a memo about leaving early yesterday although coming in at 7 and working to 3 really isn't leaving early...but anyway the obsession over the memo. I think maybe my boss perhaps told him that memos aren't much good if you don't answer them...maybe a little bit of sass on my part brought the truth home. Anyway, the vibe was good today. My coworker was out today apparently struck by food poisoning of some sort last night. It was a busy day and although I came in late not getting that break at lunchtime makes the day drag.

Tonight was turkey tacos for dinner. Always an enjoyable dinner around here especially with DH running in and out the door.

I'm very proud of DH this evening. He's really been bothered with the fact that he was promised a certain pay and hasn't gotten it. It all goes back to the whole 60 day thing that lost us his pay and our benefits. Well he decided to confront the guy today. DH has a temper and can get very hot under the collar. But he did it so well-the guy had an excuse for everything and DH had an answer for every excuse he had. The guy was taken aback when DH told him to keep his commission since at this point he hasn't earned that right but he has earned the pay that he was promised since he's brought in new customers, brought up the retail coming in the door, taken care of warranty work that hasn't been taken care of, and is taking control of their inventory problems. They guy didn't quite what to make of that and couldn't deny what DH has brought to the job in a short time. The fact that he wrote on DH's resume what the pay would and should have been certainly helped the cause. In the end DH won and as of the first of July his pay will be returned to the rate of his last job. He stood his ground, didn't get angry, made his point and won the battle!

It was another weird weather day. It started off so nice and then got cloudy and nasty during the afternoon. By the time I left work we had a thunderstorm and downpour. It cleared up enough for Otto and I to go for a walk but it was so humid and clammy feeling. Right after we got home we had another downpour and thunderstorm pass through.

I did head for the elliptical this evening and some lower body exercises and stretching (my favorite part). It was tough getting started and my drive in the evening is limited but I did get in about 40 minutes. I always feel so much better afterwards!

Karen-I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. Keeping you in my prayers about your medical issue. Hope everything is OK.

Well time to put my feet up for the evening and perhaps dry my hair so that it doesn't dry like it looks right now!

Hope everyone has had a good and enjoys a good night's rest!
