Good Morning,

Yicky looking day and another forecast of rain & thunderstorms. We were supposed to have storms and hail last night but they never came our way. Looks like same predictions just a different day.

Can't quite believe it's Monday already. This weekend certainly flew by. I was so tired yesterday and never did accomplish much of anything. Still feeling tired this morning. I guess the combination of the humid air and just being on the go all day Saturday is still making me tired. I find it takes longer to recuperate these days!

Today is DH's birthday. I think I'll stop after work and pick up one of those little ice cream cakes so he has a cake for his actual birthday.

Nothing much else going on around here. Back to the 9 to 5 today. 3 more work weeks until a vacation week-I can't wait!

Rhonda-I'm really sorry to hear that there is more grief from Tim. Sending hugs your way.

Margie-so good to hear from you. I'm glad you've been able to get back into your bike riding.

Better finish ironing up my clothes for work and get ready to the work day ahead. Hope you all have a marvelous Monday!

Good morning! Patty, sounds as though that woman has taken "Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy" to heart! Might not be a bad idea. Lately, I'm keeping my options open, although I must confess I'm not really into men right now. Group activities would be nice though. Margie and I IM'd a long time yesterday and I told her how cool I thought it would be if we could all regularly go to each of our towns and hang out together.

Cheryl and I watched "Fools Gold" last night and both found it very entertaining, despite the reviews. I think Kate Hudson and Matthew McC. make such a cute couple.

We had a big storm yesterday afternoon with lots of wind, rain, thunder, etc. Chance of rain today and tomorrow is 70%, but it's sunny and hot until they arrive in the afternoons

Today is my day to go to the nursing home. I dread it more and more. With Dad feeling like doing less and less, it is just torture to have to sit so long, particularly since he's been sleeping a lot lately, but doesn't want us to leave if he falls asleep until we can say good-bye. We don't leave, because we want him to have someone there when he wakes up. At least Cheryl will be there with me, but sometimes she falls asleep too. I never do.

I've lost another lb., so I'm at 20 1/2 lbs. off!! It's nice to break the 20 lbs. mark. Several years ago I lost 22 lbs. and put them back on. Sure hope I don't do that again. I wasn't exercising at the time though. I am eating. I've had 2 fairly large bowls of ice cream this week in addition to regular food. Quantities are a lot less than what they used to be though and I can tell the interior of my stomach is shrinking. Wish the exterior would. I finally got up the nerve to take my measurements this morning for the first time in years and they confirmed what I knew. I will not divulge what they are, but my bust and hips are the same, so are in proportion, but my waist and abdomen are way larger than what they used to be or even should be. That's why I have trouble getting clothes to fit. If I can swim more regularly and get back to Zumba and Flexx-It or make myself use dumb bells at home, maybe I can gradually whittle some of that away.

Susan, I wish that you'll have a good day at work, so you can kind of recoup from the weekend.

I hope everyone has a strong start to the week and good weather to enjoy.

What do you want from this summer? Feel like we haven't had any time away this year, the $$$ going to the house remodel and I admit, a bit of fear with the economy I'm cutting way back.

Thanks Princess for getting us going... If I had a choice I think I would go with the lady in the bikini and her spurs... :)

Patty I tried to post this morning but my computer was not being user friendly. I finally gave up and got ready for work. It was a busy weekend here on Saturday I ran to the barn in the morning followed by a quick shower......over to the mall with Katie and her friend then over to the graduation party. Unfortunately Bill never made it home on time. Katie and I had a nice time and a nice surprise. The cousin's that had the son that graduated belong to the Lutheran church that my kids went to pre-school at. Well as I was sitting under the tent I spotted a woman who looked so fimilar. I asked the host and he confirmed it was one of Katie's pre-school teachers from when she was 3 years old. Katie went up to her and of course asked if she remembered her. After giving her, her name the woman did and was so happy to see Katie. She remembered that I baked cakes ( I even did one for her son's communion all those years ago) and that we had a repair shop in town. We talked for a good 30 minutes. Sunday was another busy one with cleaning out of back screened patio. Organized, cleaned, swept and put it back together for the summer season. We hung white twinkle lights up along the top, which made it look really nice. Around 3:00 we started to demolish the kitchen. I took pictures as Bill and Billy ripped out the old stove and dishwasher then removed the counter top and back splash. What a mess........but the new counter is going in tomorrow. Today our weather is very over cast and we did have some rain earlier. Work is extremely busy our phones just never stop making my work progress very slow. I have a pounding headache that even after 2 cups of tea and 2 Exedrine it won't go away. I think its the stress from the office right now. Dinner is going to be steaks on the grill with a simple salad and maybe a baked potato since my cooking is going to be limited for a couple of weeks. I need to use the crock pot this week to make my life a litte easier too. Well best to get back to the grind before it gets worse. Hoping you all have good days today! What do you want from this summer? For it to be just a little bit less stressful and relaxing. Do you have what you need to enjoy it, make it count? No, still trying to get the pool guy to meet with us to get that thing put in. At this rate it will be September (can you hear the fustration and understand the stress?) How about fitness? Still walking in the morning but it is not enough and I do not know what I can do right now to change it. What do you want from fitness? See and feel some difference in the postive direction. Are you making sure you have what you need to have fun with it, to be successful? Not sure how to answer that, although I enjoy my morning conversations with Aunt Linda. How are you starting your week? Rainy like I said and stressed, not a good thing. What's up for everyone? See above..........Anyone have something
