Yes, I'm a worry-holic. When I worry I become anxious and things become overwhelming. Pretty much how I feel this morning. Started yesterday trying to unearth my sewing machine and by this morning realizing all the things I didn't get to this weekend. No sense worrying about it though just have to get back into the mind set of one thing at time and it will all work out in the end. I, too, have to get back onto the fitness wagon. Other tasks often take priority over taking care of myself. Time to change some of the priorities as well.
It's starting out as a nice day although still on the humid side. We had thunderstorms rumble through late yesterday afternoon and early this morning but little rain. We really could use some of Mother Natures moisture.
We've got something going on with one side of the lawn. We have mushrooms coming out and some other type of weed which Dh says is nut grass. It's only one side so I'm beginning to think since our lawn is connected to the neighbor that maybe there's something in her lawn that may be causing this. I'm going to have to make a call before it gets out of hand.
Hard to believe it's Monday already and back to work-but it's a 4 day work week and that's good. We have the new coworker on vacation this week which always makes things interesting when we're short someone. I've been up since 6 trying to finish up laundry and other assorted things around the house.
DD and her BF are making an offer on a house. The house is on the market above their budget but DD's BF's mother is a real estate broker and she feels that the house is not worth the asking price considering what other houses are going for in the area. She really has her heart set on this house but there's a pretty significant different between their offer and the asking price. Even if the people come down it still may be over their heads. Their offer is going in this evening so we'll see what happens.
I did make my curtains for the kitchen yesterday. It was fun to have the sewing machine out again although I still can't sew a straight line and as much as I looked all over I couldn't find a straight pin in the house. But their just little valances in a plaid pattern and they do look cute in there. Hoping that they're not only cute but block out some of the house afternoon sun that comes in there.
Hoping to get a workout in this evening and a walk with Otto. Weather and very ominous looking weather has made it so I haven't wanted to venture out. Checkbook needs to be updated and need to see what creditors are looking for their $ for the month. Looks like it will be a busy non paying work evening.
Karen-loved the pictures you posted. Your flowers are beautiful. I need to hire one of you garden loving ladies!
Patty-hope everything is OK down your way. Lori-hope everything is OK on your homefront.
Well time is flying and I need to finish getting ready for the paying workday ahead! Hope everyone has a magnificent Monday!
Nancy, I've always been a worrier and deal with bouts of anxiety, although less than I used to. This is an area I continually try to improve. I've been reading about forgiveness and how it doesn't mean you forget or even have to have a relationship with the person, but that you just take your hands from around his throat. ;-) I'm having to work a lot harder on that, but I know it is in my best interest and that of my children and other family members, as well as my friends.
We're having our daily terrible thunder storm with gale force winds. We certainly shouldn't have to worry about forest fires this year! It was beautiful until the huge black clouds rolled in. Had the same thing yesterday, but it didn't ruin our family time here. I had Mom, Dad, my sisters, 2 nieces,
