My day went great until a cookie jumped in my mouth after dinner. Well...at least it was only one and I did eat a light dinner. I had a tuna wrap with a whole wheat wrap and fresh spinach leaves and a side or two of cooked vegetables. I am also pleased with my exercise since I am way down with the duration with the discomfort on my side.

No call back from the doctor.

How did your day go?

The work day was the just that work. We are still having ongoing issues with our billing system at work and my coworker is not taking it well. She does the billing and when something is not right she gets a bit hot under the collar. I love her dearly and we work really well together but she was a bit on my nerves today. The computer tech was on and off the phone with the tech support and hopefully tomorrow things will be straightened out. Our law clerk who's more of a cluck is another story-but I wont' get into that. We'll just lazy would feature his picture!

I came home and started dinner and got a phone call from DH after dinner was finished and waiting that he had paperwork to finish up and would be late. I'm home by 5:15 obviously he knew that he would be late-how about a phone call then? Anyway, I ate and by the time I had set DH's dinner aside and cleaned up own mess he and DS were walking in and Otto and I were headed out for our walk. It was a nice night although still on the humid side. I worked up enough of a sweat that when I went to change into my walking clothes trying to get a sports bra on was much like a story of Patty trying to get in her power panties!

The weather was changing yet again so I made a mad dash out the door to get a walk in. I shaved a few minutes off my time for this route and even added in a few running intervals. After stretching a bit I had to make a beeline for the shower and it's one of those nights where even though I was running the water fairly cool it was difficult to get dried off. In fact I had to go stand under the ceiling fan in order to get my pjs on. And Otto is just like my kids when they were little-demanding to get in as he was scratching on the bedroom door.

We've had a little bit of rain coming down which will be good news for the lawn commando. I did call the lawn guy and he said not to worry about the things we're seeing. The nut grass or whatever is the proper term is some type of weed where the root grows sideways. It's very common and very difficult to get rid of. There is something I can put down but not until the lawn is more established although he did say they could be pulled out by hand. That is NOT going on my agenda!

That's about it from my neck of the woods. I was supposed to be updating my checkbook and balancing it but you girls are a lot more fun!

Hope everyone has had a good day and have a good night's rest.

LOL I should try to get in my power panties again. Now that's a workout!!! I almost hurt myself with a sports bra the other day!

No workout today. I was afraid to try it because I don't think my head is quite right

Busy day today! Got to the nursing home by 10:30 and was well prepared for the meeting at 11:00. I made 5 extra copies of the notes when I got there. It lasted almost 2 hours, and we felt it was productive. I've followed up with people on 2 things and gotten them taken care of already. There are more serious things that need to be addressed with the dr. when he's back from vacation.

Left and was going to spend some time at the beach with my niece and her family, but another huge storm came up. I did get a new ceiling fan and light kit for the sun porch and tried to get a new cell phone charger for the car, but no luck.

Rob and I have been texting and talking a LOT today. They told him he had to do 16 hours of radio room watch duty today!! That is ridiculous! The XO came in and told him he could take an hour break and someone else told him he had to pull weeds for the entire break!! While he was out there, the d*ck came and yelled at him for not being in the radio room. He said his AC was out again and his room smelled like dead meat. He didn't know if they were messing with him or not. Now, he has boat duty from 3 AM to 7 AM! I emailed his recruiter who's just awesome, and I think he's goingto have a little chat with the commanding officer down there, since Rob won't speak up for himself for fear of making things worse. The guy is making his life absolutely miserable! They had told him he had to stay in his uniform until taps, so he was having to get a shower after lights out until someone told him they were just messing with him. It seems more like fraternity hazing than an elite branch of the service. He's skin and bones from the stress of being cursed and yelled at no matter what he does. He's going to quite trying if it doesn't make any difference.

Went back to the nursing home this afternoon to visit with everyone. Niece's family, both sisters, other niece, and I went to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner, which was fun. We all gassed up on the way home and I said my good-byes to Lauren's family. Cheryl is here and will leave in the AM. Hate to see her go.

Dad had a pretty good day today, so I'm happy about that. Feeling pretty tired. I'm going to spend some time with my sister and then hit the hay.
