Good Morning,

Starting out the day weather wise as a good one. But that seems to happen every day and then we have these weird freaky thunderstorms with only enough rain to wet the ground.

Off to work in a few minutes. Looking forward to the 3 day weekend and today boss man is at a hearing so he'll be out of the office for most of the day but that still leaves other boss man in the office all day and with his assistant on vacation he becomes a bit cranky!

DD and her BF made the offer on the house. It was presented last evening and they haven't heard anything. It was a low bid and either the people are thoroughly annoyed by it and not responding or they're mulling it over or they're thinking of a counter offer more to their liking.

I still have a pile of stuff on my desk. I did balance my checkbook last night and love to see that 0.00 you're reconciled pop up on the screen! I will have to try to tackle a bit of the paper overflow this evening.

Weather cooperating Otto and I will head out for a walk after dinner and then I'm not sure what I'll do. I would love to get a ride in on my bike and maybe some weights. They front beds still needed to be weeded out and since DH is off today I'm sending him to get some mulch. I don't think I'll be able to get the whole project done before the sun sets so I may just hold off on putting the mulch down until the weekend.

Patty-hope the day finds the headache completely gone. Hope the job stress eases up for Rick. I'm sure your FIL appreciates your company and the food you bring him. You're a good DIL!

Rhonda-glad the meeting went well for your dad. Sorry to hear about Rob's situation-hope things improve for him.

Grace-hope you hear from the doctor today. That is so annoying & frustrating when you don't get return phone calls. Are you feeling any better?

Lori-how's the knee feeling?

Karen-loved the Monday query! After reading about everyone's backyard spaces I think I'm scheduling visits to everyone to test them all out and then I'm sending you all to my backyard to spruce up the place and you can all have a visit to DH's vegetable garden. The man can't grow grass and hates to pull weeds but does grow great vegetables!

Time to get moving and get the party started for the day! Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday!

Susan

It's very hard to believe that it's July 1st already.

Happy Canada Day to our Canadian friends!

Thanks for all the good thoughts for Rob and my dad. :-) Hugs to you!

I was up early this morning, because Cheryl was getting packed and loaded up to leave for home. She left at 8:30 and had to load the car in the rain, because it came very early today. What timing. She was meeting her daughter's family at a place near I-95 north of here, so they could caravan back. Sure will miss them.

Patty, the idea for a red, white, and blue container sounds very appealing. Doing something like that is just what I need to make me feel good. I'd like to do the front flower bed that way again, but not sure I want the expense right now or that much bending over to plant them. I'll have to think about it.

Nancy, it's very scary about the increased prices in all directions. I can only imagine what that's going to do to food prices. Enjoy your walk. I'm happy for your friend's progress. You've been a great motivation to her.

Susan, the ground is so saturated here. I'd love to have some days of just sun, but I see we're expecting afternoon storms every day through at least Monday. :-( I need to get my bike out too, but just keep getting sidetracked. If I could load it in the Explorer and take it to the bike shop where I got it, they'd do my annual tune-up free. Good luck to your DD and BF on the house.

Lori, hang in there! We all go through cycles with our motivation. I'm sure you'll be on the upswing again before long. Glad to hear your knee is doing somewhat better. Do you have another type of activity in mind that you'd enjoy doing -- swimming, cycling, Zumba, etc.?

MN-Deb, that hill walking is so great for the glutes, legs, and heart. The closest thing we have to a hill around here is a nearby dip in the road. ;-)

Think I'll crawl back in bed for a while, since I don't have to be anywhere today for the first time in awhile. It will feel good. Mom leaves for MD tomorrow and will be gone 4 days, so I'll be at the nursing home tomorrow, Thursday, and probably Sat.
