Good morning Patty... I'm up early because we are going to the lake this morning.. That's if the ds gets his butt out of bed... We should get out there early as it looks like it might rain this afternoon if not earlier.
Patty, I'm still LOL from your diet tips. Did me good. I will have to pass those along. I'm glad to hear that Bob and your FIL made friends. Did it perk your FIL up to have an animal around? It really does my dad. Good thing DH is going back to work so you don't have to hurt him. ;-)
Nancy your trip sounded so nice. Your batteries are probably recharged for the week.
Susan, your bread sounds good. Will you share the recipe? You also had a nice day with the cookout. It feels good to hear so many of us having positive days.
Margie, how nice for you and your family to have a lovely time on Tara's birthday. I'm sure there were bittersweet feelings. She should get a lot of use from her gift (and hopefully invite you to share! ;-)
I'm going to Zumba this morning. They've moved the start time up to 9:15. No set plans for the rest of the day. I'd text Rob, but I have a feeling he's sleeping in. LOL! Thank-you all so much for your good thoughts and wishes for him! Deeply appreciated! I definitely feel better today, as though 2 heavy loads have been lifted.
Another gray looking day with the humidity on the sticky side. At least after a weekend of not very nice weather it's not a day where I wished I was home and outside...well I still would rather be home! The weekends go by too quickly and this was a 3 day one! But 5 more working days and then a vacation week!
Trying to get my act together this morning so I'll get done what I need to get done on the homefront before heading to the paying job.
I'm anticipating some type of workout this evening...but the best laid plans and all of that. I do have chicken fajitas on the menu this evening with a Pineapple Picco de Gallo. Took a weight watchers recipe with a recipe from Healthy Cooking and combining the two together. We'll see how the experiment works!
Deb/MN enjoy your day at the lake! Charlie Wilson's War was Ok. Not my usual kind of movie.
Nancy-hope the work day goes smoothly.
Patty-thank you and a chicken for tonight's dinner! Hope things in CL run smoothly this week-how long does it take to kiss that many chickens good bye! Hope all goes well with your sister's doctors appointments.
Lori-your vegetable gardens sure sound good! DH's tomato plants really took off. Unfortunately it's hard to see the tomatoes for all the weeds. But I do see some green ones out there. Nothing like fresh veggies from the garden. DH found 2 more zucchini last night.
Time to get going for the day. Hope the day goes well for everyone. Personally, I'm going to put my chocolate on top of the refrigerator so that calories will jump right on off! Have a great day everyone!
