At least I have one leg up on it anyway! I've made a commitment to get back into shape for the last few years....years! Those commitments were always so short-lived and believe me, I'm paying for it now....mostly because of how out of shape I feel, hence the low self-images I have of myself. Back up to my size 14's, not happy with that. Anyway, for the last two weeks I've been "moving more"....just pushing myself to do something at least every other day for minimum 40 minutes. So far, so good. Working on the better eating choices too. I like this board and often lurk to see what's happening. I stumbled upon a recent posting entitled something like, turnover tuesday or try it again tuesday....whatever it was it worked....thanks for the inspiration. Blessings to all from Clairey

Hi Donna. The horses must be hungry, we keep giving them less and less caloric intake right? I apologize for my goofy attempt at humor, I must need another cup of coffee to get my brain going this morning! Hey, at least we all have company on this bandwagon right? Have a great day and thanks for the "hello". Clairey

Hi Deb....I agree with you regarding listening to your son's music. I always derive soooooo much pleasure in hearing JM play....he's been in a band that ended last year because of the drummer's unavailability....which is too bad cuz they were pretty good. How old is your son? Mine is 16 and has been playing since he was about 10 I think. He started out playing mostly blues/classic rock stuff but now he plays a lot of his own stuff. We are in a quandry now because he owns like four guitars, electric and not but it seems to have taken a back seat to his other interests whereas it used to be his true passion. Guess it may just have to be a wave we need to ride out. He does still play a lot but not as much. Regarding the recording of your son...there is a device that I think is called a GNX4? not sure if that's the name but it can record through an amp somehow. Do you think he'd let you videotape him playing? That'd be a great momento. You know it's wierd, the remark that the jeweler wasn't anything I didn't know but somehow hearing someone saying it to me made it more real to me. Good thing I wasn't pms'ing....or I may have not been quite so charitable with my reaction! So far today is going well....eating is right on target, praise God! Didn't get a chance to exercise today yet but plan on taking a walk when it cools down or jump on the dusty exercise bike in our air-conditioned bedroom, that sounds better! Off to gather stuff to visit a friend. Enjoy the day....Clairey

I'm not sure I could have been that charitable whether I was pms'ing or not.

Welcome, Clairey! Happy to have you join us. We all go in cycles with our fitness, eating, hormones, etc., so you'll feel right at home.

My son plays the guitar too, but is into very heavy metal. He admires the skill it takes to play it.
