Does anyone have any suggestions for things you'd like to see in Washington, DC, when we meet there the first weekend of October? Any things we missed last time like
the Capitol, although we may need tickets in advance for that,
Bureau of Engraving and Printing (dollars),
Washington Monument,
Halocaust Museum,
other Museums,
Pentagon City Mall,
Franklin Roosevelt Memorial,

I remember last time we'd thought about the horticultural gardens, but never got there.

Rhonda,
Did the hotel have a pool?

I had a neat reply with selected pictures and comments, but only one picture would post, so I chose the pool to answer your question. I'm all for swimming. Love it! It's inside, so the weather doesn't matter. There's a good fitness room too.
Tea for me, also. I've never had a cup of coffee in my life.

I couldn't remember if we'd made it to the Botanic Gardens or not, but they are just beautiful. I imagine they'll be all decked out for fall when we get there. I would enjoy that, of course.

The pool looks great and I think we could have a great time.

I have been to DC a number of times as a kid and as a mom. So, I have seen a lot but I will see it again and again. Walking around the mall is an awesome way to exercise too. Lots of people do that Nancy.
I am not very creative either. I will check with my DS when he comes up if there is anything new and different to do. I am happy just to sit and visit and relax too.
