Does anyone have any suggestions for things you'd like to see in Washington, DC, when we meet there the first weekend of October? Any things we missed last time like

the Capitol, although we may need tickets in advance for that,

Bureau of Engraving and Printing (dollars),

Washington Monument,

Halocaust Museum,

other Museums,

Pentagon City Mall,

Franklin Roosevelt Memorial,

We could kill 2 birds with one stone and get in some good walking here in a climate controlled environment, plus we have to eat... ;-)

I wasn't even thinking about a shopping mall...I was thinking of the mall around the reflections pool...LOL! Either one works for me.

I'm not planning on going, but a walk from the Capitol the length of the mall is a wonderful thing - as are the Korean and Viet Nam memorials.

You could always take shovels and visit my ex. ;-)

I am for the Botanical Gardens, maybe some more time around the Smithsonian museums, the capital is good and I would love to do a White House tour if they still give those. The shopping mall does nothing for me other then spend money I can do here but if anyone else wants to go I will window shop. I think our outside weather temp should be perfect for outside walks. The lake by the Lincoln Memorial was so pretty and we did not go and see the Jefferson Memorial. I am so in for down time, swimming in that beautiful pool or just gabbing with each other in the lobby.
