My thermometer in the car hit 100 mid-afternoon yesterday, and it's supposed to be hotter today. I was tired this morning, but went to Zumba anyway. I was glad I did, because I felt so much better as soon as we started. Our complaints about cutting the class to 45 minutes to make way for others have not gone unheard. In August, we will probably move to the gym, since the biggest new room is still not big enough, we'll get an hour again, and they may get a better sound system in there to accommodation us. Strength in numbers!!

Made a run to WalMart and picked up a boombox I can enjoy by the pool. I need my music! I was going to mow, but I was afraid I'd be too pooped for 2 meetings I have tonight -- one is a Republican "meet-up" group which is fairly small now and the other is a large Rep. Exec. Com. meeting. I have to look presentable for them.

Went to my first Carolina Shag/Beach Bop Class last night and it was very fun. I was fortunate to get to dance with the husband of the coupple teaching us, so it helped. My sister and her boy friend were struggling some, but I think it's because he's having problems. If your lead has problems, it makes it hard to follow. Anyway, the instructor said I'm "a natural", which made me feel really good. I did pick up some basics pretty quickly considering it was my first class and the second class for others. I'll miss next week too. There is a Shag Club here that meets at a restaurant on Wednesday nights. They have free lessons first, then the members can dance on their own. I'm planning to go this Wed. They're on the last lesson in the series, but a new series will start next week. It could be a fun way to meet people. I told my Zumba instructor about it, since she likes to dance so much.

Patty, I almost never have a plan for myself. Seem to just wing it much of the time other than appts. I have to keep. Maybe things would go better if I did come up with a plan. Things are definitely falling apart here, but I'm working on getting them together, as well as myself. Your day sounds so fun. I would love to join you and see your festive decorations. Enjoy!!

Nancy, sorry to hear about the weight gain, but I think it's pretty common with a lot of traveling and vacations. It makes it extra hard to keep it off. I know as determined as you are, the weight will come off again

Hi, all...I think I am just falling! Just can't get things together personally, but I have been getting the house together. I can't believe I was actually in the attic yesterday and cleared out a bunch of stuff. Most of it was the kids' stuff and well after storing it for 10 years +...it was time. I bet they don't miss it. I couldn't get rid of the cabbage patch dolls though when I think how hard it was to get them eons ago.

Grace, so sorry to hear you're in pain. Is it joint or muscle pain or just generalized pain? Do you take anything for your joints? Also, do you take krill oil or fish oil

I'd love to see a picture of the kennel when it's completed. Won't that be a relief to have it done?

You are so lucky to have that pool.

I love my Linen White plantation shutters throughout most of the house. They are so crisp, clean, and versatile without adding allergens.
