I must have done something right during my dumb bell work-out yesterday, because my thighs were sore this morning (although not now) and my upper arms and pecs really felt it during Zumba and during swimming not long ago. I used only two 10-lb. weights, because that's the most I'm supposed to lift now. Wish I could find an exercise that would make my glutes sore. I can't seem to target them enough.

I did some jumps and other exercises in the pool this afternoon, as well as swimming various kinds of strokes and going down the slide for fun. I have to say that the pool is one of the best investments we've made (knock on wood) with the climate here and as much as I love the water. The water felt heavenly. I put the dogs in for a little while too. Watched some butterflies while I took a little time out on a float.

Rob and I texted some. He slept in this AM and is

It's hot, humid and icky! I'm sitting in the basement but the nice refreshed feeling from my shower is about gone.

The afterglow from my nice relaxing week of vacation didn't last long. The in box overfloweth and really didn't scratch the surface of anything today. My boss was in NYC all day and wasn't even around to cause any turmoil-but there's always tomorrow!

Otto and I went for a stroll after dinner and he was a bit more energetic than I expected him to be. He's probably making up for lost time with the XY's not taking him out while I was gone. I was going to head to the basement for the treadmill but decided if I was going to sweat it might as well be outside. I walked and did some interval walk/runs for about 35 minutes.

Whatever bit me in MA sure did a number on me. My legs look absolutely horrible. The bites turned into these nasty red marks. I have about 17 bites on one leg and foot, and about 8 on the other leg and foot. And the itching is horrible. I had to make sure I had the Cortizon cream with me at work so I wouldn't itch the skin off my legs. Don't think I'll be wearing a skirt any time soon.

Lori-I'm glad that Jeff will be helping you out more. Those wonder women capes sure do get heavy! I'm still tripping all over mine!

Rhonda-the pool sure sounds inviting. I can't believe Andie is 6 already!

Donna-hope you're feeling better. Hope your stress level at work evens out some time real soon!

Grace-I'm so sorry that you're in so much discomfort. Any chance that they can get you in any sooner?

Time to get upstairs and back into some ac! Hope the day has treated you well. Rest well everyone!

Wanted to post this picture of Andie from her 6th birthday party with her sister, Claudea, who's 4.

Okay ladies.... I need you all to yell at me, to poke me, to prod me and to tell me to 'buck up' and get a right attitude.

I'm wondering if your estrogen cutback hasn't caught up with you and your levels are too low. This just doesn't sound like you at all. I'm really sorry to hear you're feeling so irritable. I know it's a bad place to be and hope it will pass quickly. Can you increase your medicine again or did the dr. cut your prescription back? If it's something you did, I'd try increasing it again. Wonder if that's contributed a little to your weight gain too.

I cut back on my progesterone as my dr. said I could, and I've noticed my legs get hot periodically during the night, since my levels have had time to drop. I'm going to let him know about that and may just up it again every other day to see how that works. I don't need anything contributing to my wakefulness during the night.

Hugs,

I'm glad you liked the picture. Andie and Claudea are both tiny little things. At her check-up today, Andie is "up to" 39 lbs. and 43" tall. The little boy whose grandparents live across the street turned 6 in April and weighs 78 lbs.! I don't know how tall he is, but he's probably a head taller than Andie or close to it. How much does Brock weigh and how tall is he? Do you have a recent picture?

I'm surprised your blood pressure is up even with the added stress, since you've lost so much weight. I'm sure there is a tremendous amount of pressure on you moving forward as you are though and that would certainly be enough to do it. Your dr. sounds like a very caring and insightful man -- rare, indeed. Perhaps he's heard comments from Tom that are guiding his comments to you. I do think Tom has jumped into the fire and will regret it. I think the same thing about Tim.

It would be great if all worked out quickly

Andie & Claudia are adorable... Are they just friends of yours or relatives?

Nancy, I hope today is better.. I understanding about those irritiating days and nights.. maybe not as much as you said... But I know when I am that way I don't like myself... You have a lot on your plate lately with the MIL... Hang in there... You will be ok.. I liked Rhonda's suggestions.. maybe she is right about the estrogen..

Margie... Hope your meds and stress get better.. It might take time but in the long run... it will be a better place than you are in now...

I;m off to work..
