Everyone must be at church, picnics a Sunday drive?

Been reading the last few days of posts, and trying to catch up with everyone.

Just got in from grocery shopping. It's been a different kind of weekend for me. DD and I went to Costco together as well as Borders and on to Toys "R Us for gift cards for the afternoon birthday party yesterday. Other DD and her BF arrived around noon and it was a real quick visit from them since they needed to leave by noon today to meet up with some friends in New Haven, CT at IKEA. Seemed like they just got here and they were ready to leave. DD's BF got the audio working again on my computer and did some updating for me. DD helped me figure out my digital picture frame that DS had bought me for Mother's Day. I'm really technologically impaired and I'm always a bit intimidated to try anything myself.

The party was nice yesterday. Emma is walking up a storm. After not being sure when she was going to be able to walk it was wonderful to see her toddling around. A big credit to her PT who apparently was wonderful with her but he did say that she was one of the easiest to work with and a little girl with a lot of determination.

Lots of things going on between my two SIL's. I'm waiting for a full blow out between the two of them. The younger sister has become consumed in self pity especially since my MIL's death. She has no boundaries for her comments and comments that are just totally inappropriate. She's making it extremely uncomfortable to be around and it's such a shame since she's been such a big part in all of our lives. I feel very bad for the older sister since she sees to it that she goes grocery shopping and gets to places that she can't walk to since she doesn't drive. She doesn't work either so she's got a lot of time of her hands to just "dwell". She apparently was offered a babysitting job but said she couldn't do it more than 3 days a week since it would interfere with her "schedule". There's no talking to the younger sister about seeking any kind of therapy since according to her, the older sister is the dysfunctional one! I'm just hoping that the older sister will try some sort of therapy in this mess and the other draining factors in her life. She's exhausted emotionally and I know it's taking a physical toll on her as well. What a mess!

It's been a beautiful day here. Low humidity and beautiful sunshine. I haven't accomplished a thing around here except a load of laundry and my grocery shopping. I don't really care right now but I know when the 9 to 5 starts in again tomorrow I'll be left shaking my head!

I have some chicken to marinate for tonight's dinner so I really should attend to that since I really haven't had much to eat today. Hope you're all enjoying a super Sunday!
