Good morning everyone!

What's up in your corner of the world today? Nancy, after the 2nd trip and truthfully the 1st I'd have been saying no. What a sweet person you are! Grace when do you do to the Dr? They need to

Good Morning,

Love the picture this morning. We have a lot of sunflowers in the yard. In fact there was a squirrel sitting on one of them this morning and he was having a great time dissecting it!

Another beautiful day here. DD and I were supposed to go shopping for a dress for me but she has a wake to go to for one of the secretaries at the school who's mother passed away.

Not sure I would be able to venture too far out of the house today anyway. I took a nasty stubbing of my toe last night into the leg of my ottoman. The problem is since it happened is that I can't really put any weight on the foot. I've been limping around primarly using my heel but it HURTS! DH wanted to take me to the ER but can't quite figure how I would explain being there for a stubbed toe and then wait for hours. It's better with a flip flop on the foot (which I should have been wearing last night and I'm glad I didn't get I told you so). He wants me to go have it looked at-in case it's something more than a stubbed toe but the First Med Place doesn't take our insurance, I don't think this is something that is ER worthy, my own doctor would have to send me somewhere to have an xray done so not sure where else to go. It just seems silly but it won't be silly if I can't walk around any better than I am right now. Plus it just had to be my right foot so not sure how I'm going to drive. I had planned on getting a dose of reality today and get some things done around the house and catching up on some laundry just not sure how that's going to work either.

Any fitness plans for today? I had one all planned but don't think that's going to happen. My workout yesterday must have been effective since my arms are sore and so are my abs. Just shows how much I haven't worked on either of those things lately. Something healthy on the menu? Think there will some form of chicken on the menu :)!

Patty-your day out yesterday sounded like a lot of fun.

Nancy-you sure are a good DIL. I think I would have to make sure that the MIL knows that if she needs something that she has a list and let her know when you can get there.

Time to go put some ice on the tootsies and put it up on the dang thing that got me in this predicament! Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!

Susan, so sorry to hear about your toe. I can tell you from experience that if it is fractured or outright broken, they will tape it to the toe next to it to use as a splint. You may want to do that as a precaution. Just make sure it's aligned properly. Hope it feels better soon.

Hugs,

I love sunflowers, but the one time I planted some semi-mature ones in the yard, squirrels literally destroyed the entire plants overnight.

Lori, I'm sorry to hear about your problems with the dance troupe. Seems in almost every group of every kind there are politics, cliques, or some other negative influence to screw it up for people. I hope you'll find something else that gives you the gratification and pleasure this used to. Also, hope you get in more down time at home to just enjoy being there. Working in the yard is therapeutic for me.

Karen, I'm impressed by how quickly your patio went from

For some strange reason my computer is giving me trouble with posting. I wanted to post more last night but the fustration just got to be too much and I quit! Took two Exederin PM's last night and it knocked me out cold. I slept until 9:30 this morning and it felt great but of course I am still feeling lazy. My left arm was bothering me on the ride home, found my body really aches from these road trips. I guess being so out of shape takes its toll on you. I just took some Motrin and I hope it helps since holding a pen hurts and I do have to get back to work tomorrow. Katie wants to visit the horse but I have no desire to drive out to the east end of Long Island today. She is doing the make mom feel guilty thing............ I need to catch up on some laundry, the downstairs bathroom is gross (2 boys not wiping anything for 3 days), I ran the vacuum upstairs but I still need to do downstairs, I need to put away the suitcases and I need to run the grocery store for some items. My digestive system is out of wack too, belly hurts, hungry but not hungry, anyone else get like that? Bill was up early and at the shop, then he needed to head to my office to sign some affidavits for court. He is really busy with work which is a great thing, Billy did awesome while we were gone those 2 work days. I find road trips to be not my friend so I shy away from them.........I feel like I got dragged through the mud. Just washed out! Spent Sunday on the road down to NC (12 1/2 hours), Monday did some sight seeing in the car then headed to see Katie. The girls wanted to show us the barn back in the car. Dinner with Meghan and her parents then headed out around 7:00 PM. Drove until 10:30 Monday night and stayed in Salem, Virginia. Got up Tuesday morning and left Salem around 9:00 AM, made several stops to have lunch and then check out some race car stuff for Bill in PA. Did a few potty breaks and got home around 9:15 PM last night............way too much car time!

Susan hope you are enjoying your time off from work. Sorry about that toe, better have it checked if it still hurts tomorrow. Not that they can do much but just in case??? I posted about your DD wedding, beautiful place out in St. James...where is the church?

Lori I saw you pictures of the dogs and the kennel. Very impressive work on that kennel. It looks like a great spot to hide a hot tub! Maybe get Karens crew over to lay some bricks........and you have a nice private patio, lol. Sounds like you are doing great with your garden and taking advantage of your produce. Not letting any go to waste! The way you talked about your dance troupe is sad but sometimes we need to change or mix things up. Maybe stepping back for a few months will do you some good and then restart. Good luck with your decision.

Nancy reading about your multi trips for your MIL was so nice of you. I hope she knows what a good DIL you really are. I meant to say something back when you were helping her settle in last week. You are a wonderful person! Enjoy your massage today! Are you still seeing a personal trainer? How about WW are you still doing that too?

Karen I just loved the patio but I went back and saw the before pictures and I am even more impressed. You guys do not waste time doing stuff........I wish I could say that. No work on my kitchen for weeks.........still waiting on Bill to hang the exhaust hood/fan. Then we need to decide what we are going to do about the tile work. Your kids go back to school early but then get done early too. Compared to my kids. Both Rob and Katie do not start until after Labor Day in Sept. Could you please email me a picture of your son's new truck. I was telling Bill about it on our road trip and I can not find it in back posts.

Grace you have lots going on at home. Sorry it rained in Maine, nothing worse then going on "vacation" and getting stuck like that. Good luck with your son and his family moving in with you. Did they sell their house? What did they do with their stuff? How are the grandkids taking this transaction? Keep exercising it will keep you focused.

Rhonda glad to see you had your Jackson time this past weekend. Also glad to see you are back to doing your Zumba and you are enjoying it. Doing something for yourself is so important. Reading about how warm it is at the gym makes me comment about the AC, can't they turn the temp down more?

Well I really need to get the show on the road around here. I guess the first thing would be a shower and get dressed. A run the grocery store then finish up some house hold chores. Hope you all have great days today. I am sure others have posted since I started this post over an hour ago. Hope you are all well and I am sorry I missed things. Will check back later ladies!

Sorry to hear that dance has lost the "magic" for you since your friend left. I have felt the same way about exercise since I lost my classes at that gym that discontinued having them. It really did me in mentally. I just can't get the enthusiasm for classes unless I am teaching.

I do have a dr's appointment for August 27th. It is the soonest they could see me even though I told them I was in constant pain. I am glad it wasn't considered an emergency...being sarcastic here.

Hope you get a chance to rest up a bit at the homestead. Take care of those ankles and try to get excited about the performance on Saturday. It will probably be different in front of an audience.

Take care and I mean it!

Grace
