Good Morning,

After another afternoon of rain and then thunderstorms and more rain that came in last night the skies are blue and the sun is shining.

I am babying the foot and doing what I'm supposed to do and I'm going stark raving mad! I long for days like the past few but too many of them in a row and I don't quite know what to do with myself. I'm almost through with "Twilight" which is almost 500 pages and I've read it in less than 5 days. I've watched more movies than I have in probably a year and getting infuriated with the XY's who just can't pick up after themselves. I may have to kick both their bu**s with my very special shoe! Three of my toes and the top of my foot have turned lovely shades of purple. I managed to get a sock on the foot yesterday which was a major victory. I'm a little on the crabby side and the medication just makes me incredibly tired. Not sure how I'm going to handle that when I head back to the working world.

I've really been trying to stay on the healthy side of eating but it's been hard. I have avoided the chocolate marshmallow Entemann's cake that has been staring at me since Thursday. I refuse to open the box. I was so tempted yesterday to just have a small piece but I was too afraid that the one piece would turn into the box in my lap and a fork in my hand.

DD may be stopping by at some point to work on her room. Part of her is still living here, the other part at the BF's. She has stuff everywhere and her cleaning it out hinges on me being able to paint in there come the fall. Not having another XX in the house is hard!

Otto is still walkless although the weather is not at all cooperating. DS has a party that he has to go right after work for one of his coworkers. That means I have to convince DH to take him out. Not sure that's going to work. Helpfulness hasn't been anyone's strong suit the past few days.

Patty-wise use of those apples! I may have to check my produce drawer!

Karen-quite the adventure you had yesterday. Reminds me of the time that our car broke down in the middle of a very road. No one stopped to see if they could help including at least one police officer. DH finally decided that I would steer and he would push our very large Ford Crown Victoria across a 4 lane road. We'll just say I was steering with my eyes closed and praying that we weren't going to get killed. Fortunately someone headed in the other direction got out and stopped traffic so that we could get across. I think it took about 5 minutes before I was able to get my heart started again!

Nancy-a butterfinger blast! Yummmm! Lots of thinking about food from me these days!

Lori-hope the dance performance goes well today!

That's about it from me. Hope you all have a super Saturday.

Susan

Good morning..

I'm off to work once again today.. It's beautiful out and I wish I didn't have to go... I was not a happy camper yesterday at work, but I did make the best of it... Hopefully today goes quick.

Great story about the apples that went into a pie!

I think I missed a couple of days around here, not like I'm doing really fun stuff to do that.

Funny-the people who race walk around our harbor here, go faster than I do when I run it.

Yes, that's how I felt watching them. I thought it seemed like they used at least as much if not more energy race walking.

Rick is working over some nights and it makes me crazy because he has almost an hour drive home. Plus it makes my day longer because of

Patty, I have 6 apples in a pkg. that I bought several months ago. I'm thinking maybe I should put them out for the birds and the squirrels by now. Pie sounds good! I like apples cut in wedges with peanut butter too, but PB isn't exactly low cal. It is satisfying though.

Ever since the vet appt. yesterday I've been just exhausted. I napped yesterday and stayed in bed a lot this morning. It's like a fibro crash, but I think it's stress. Tim and I talked last night, and it was pretty good. I emailed his brother in CA happy birthday, but haven't heard back. Don't know if he no longer wants to communicate with me or just hasn't been on his PC. I'll find out in due time.

I need to mow the back yard and other yard work, plus I still haven't sprayed the concrete surfaces with a bleach mixture the way I should, so I may force myself to do that. Rob and I have been texting some today. He has 2 radio room watches today -- 4 - 8 PM and 4 - 8 AM. Wreaks havoc with sleep patterns.

Donna and Margie, you're missed!

Guess I'd better get a move on.
