Good Morning,

Hope everything is Ok in Patty-ville. Rhonda-thinking about you hope everyone and everything is OK in Florida and with Katie. Lori-sorry to hear about the stupid boy syndrome at your house-hope it wasn't passed along from my house. We seem to have that going around here for at least one XY. Donna-your sandwich yesterday left me drooling. Your weekend sounded really nice and I could smell those zeppolis! Grace-glad to hear things are settling in at your house. Hope that upcoming doctors appointment gives you some answers. Karen-loved the pictures of your kids! Nancy-what can I say about your BIL? It's sure nothing good! Deb-MN-your beer tasting party sounded like fun. Somebody at work gave DH a bottle of Thai beer. DH had Thai beer when he was stationed there and he remembers the inconsistency of the alcohol levels in it. You would have one bottle with little to none and the next would be the polar opposite. Younger DD's BF is big into different beers-he would have loved that!

Long day at work yesterday. I just couldn't get my head into my job at all and didn't accomplish a whole lot either. I had forgotten my boss was out but the other XY boss was there. It must have been a week from he** in there. They're doing construction next to our suite and someone managed to cut the cables which connect us to the internet and then computers started dying one by one. The one boss was asked if he needed a bottle of Midol since he was being impossible and the other boss since he was going to be out for a couple of days was throwing work here, there and everywhere. One of the associates felt like it was the Titanic and the 2 bosses were leading the band. Anyway, another long day ahead for me. I guess it would help if I wasn't so tired. After lunch yesterday all I wanted to do was go take a nap. By the time I got home my eyes were burning and was so done for the day. The XY in the house didn't help matters but that's another story.

Not a whole lot of anything else going on. Hope everyone else is well and that a terrific Tuesday is ahead for everyone.

We're starting to get some far outer bands from the tropical storm. I was out trying to get stuff from around the pool put in the shed and hooking up the pool drain when the bottom dropped out. I was soaked to the skin, so I'm in my winter housecoat right now with the AC on. I'm sure I'll warm up soon. The rain stopped or slacked to a drizzle not long after I finished, of course. Wind is picking up some.

Erin called at lunch time from Orlando and said it was supposed to get there around 1:30, but so far all they'd had was drizzle and the trees were hardly moving. One of her clients is the Orlando Convention Center, so she's been on standby for public relations while the VFW convention is there. Sen. McCain spoke yesterday. Obama was there today, but left early, and Pres. Bush has had to cancel for tomorrow due to the storm. Schools are closed there today.

Mid-morning Rob said they'd already had 7" of rain, winds were 40 mph, and they were under flood and tornado warnings in the West Palm Beach area. What a day to have liberty. He can't go more than half an hour away from the station with conditions like this, and in fact, he may not be able to leave at all since conditions have worsened. It's been really busy. He had 18 hours of watch yesterday.

Katie is doing well. Thanks for your concern and prayers. Poor little thing's cast is longer than her leg and goes up to her hip, so it is very awkward to walk or lie down. Dr. said her incision was about 4" long. It was quite a bad tear. She is so good though. I had her on the bed last night with her head in my lap. Thankfully, she has pain med, so that helps her to rest.

I have a fundraiser for a good friend who's running for state committeewoman tonight. Sure hope the weather holds off so she has a good turnout. It's not cheap to book the yacht club, plus I know they've had a ton of expenses with the campaign.

Dad is not doing well. His cognitive function has deteriorated markedly since last week. Of course, the family has noticed it and so has the staff at the nursing home. He thinks he's been in that room for only one night and that his room is in another building; that Mom has kicked him out and hasn't come to see him; and he obsesses about being there and not being home. He gets frustrated and agitated when we don't agree with him. It was a difficult visit yesterday. I was sort of glad I had to leave a little early to get Katie. I know that sounds bad, but it's really hard to see. My stomach was upset all evening and early this morning. It's better now.

I'm still feeling really tired. I think it's mostly stress. I know you all have stresses in your lives too. Will try to answer your posts later this evening. Hugs to you all.

I was going to go to the gym, but I woke up late and ended up taking my thyroid medication late, which is no big deal. However, my period hit me bad and what is a big deal is that I couldn't take any meds for it for at least four hours after taking my thyroid med. So I just didn't feel like going to the gym today. I've heard that exercise helps with cramps, but when I am curled up in the fetal position in the bed because I can't take anything, going to the gym is the last thing on my mind.
