Good Sunday morning! The sun is out and that makes me happy. What are your plans for the day? I'm going to church, then may go to Mom and Dad's if Lisa and her boy friend can get Dad home. If not, I'll indulge and go to the beach the way I've wanted to for days.
Have a blessed day!

I had my first semi-date last night. I don't really want to date, but I want to do things with someone. Is that a contradiction? A man who assists with teaching the shag lessons where my sister lives and a member of the shag club has been very friendly to me. He came right out and told me he'd like to date me. I told him I'm not ready to date. I still love my husband (warts and all!) and am still legally married. We do have a lot of similar interests and the same political views, so we have a lot to talk about. We were talking about different kinds of food and restaurants we like, and I told him about the little Mexican place near me that I think is really good. He joked that I'd have to take him there sometime, and he'd take me to one he likes on his side of town. I didn't think too much more about it, but yesterday he asked if I'd like to go to the one near me for dinner. I decided what the heck and we went. He came here to pick me up and we went there and watched the Jaguars game on the TV's while we talked. It was very pleasant.
After a long dinner, we came back here and finished watching the game on TV. I fixed us some Otter Paws ice cream, which he'd never had, and determined was very good. He left after the game. He hugged me good-bye twice and I could tell he wanted to kiss me, but my body language let him know a friendly hug like you'd give a family member or like we do at the club was it for me. I have been very honest and up front about my feelings for Tim, so I don't lead him on.
Speaking of Tim, I felt pretty sick the other night and had a scare, thinking it might be my heart. I didn't want to upset Mom and send her into AFib, so I tried to reach Tim. I was seriously considering calling 911. Tim's phone was off, so it was after 9 AM before I heard back from him. He came over immediately. He thought it was an anxiety attack, because my pulse and all my other signs were good. He stayed over an hour and got me to calm down. He came back that afternoon and stayed an hour or so, then came back that night around 8 and stayed close to that long again. He's been calling to check on me.
Out of the blue yesterday, I saw a car like his driving up the street and kind of stared at it. It was Tim. He said he'd tried to call a little while earlier, but no answer. I was out taking double chocolate muffins I'd baked while scrubbing floors to 4 different neighbors. Gave them all away, so I didn't eat any. He said he wanted to check to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. While he was here he fixed the toilet for me. He gave me 2 long (nice) hugs. The day I was sick, he kissed me on the head 3X and gave me big hugs.
I did a lot of work yesterday between cloud bursts. Got the pool area cleaned up, but there are still some leaves in the bottom of the pool. All the biggest debris is up, and when the sun dries things out enough I'll use the blower on all the concrete and mow the lawn. Some people are mowing even with as wet as the ground is -- not good. Some of the shrubs could stand to be trimmed too. While I was scrubbing the floors my floor scrubber stopped working. Had to run to Walmart, where most of the people in my side of town must have been, to get another. They didn't have one! Went to Target, where the rest of the people around here were, and was able to get one. After putting it together, I was able to scrub again.
I've been doing some exercises with dumbbells, mainly trying to target my upper arms, upper back, and my semi-deflated butt. LOL! I hope to go to Zumba tomorrow, but will be waving political signs during morning rush hour

Rhonda, are you feeling ok now? Sorry to read about your scare. I'm glad that Tim has checked on you.
I think it's great that you went on a semi date. I also think it's good that you are expressing what you feel for Tim. I can't imagine being with someone for years and then simply falling out of love with them, no matter how they act. It might be eaiser if our feelings were that easy to flip off and on,
Hope your Dad makes it home and hope you find time to
Miss P
Rhonda, thanks for the start up today. Hope everyone else is well and enjoying their day.
We're having
Miss P
Good morning.
I was going to say Good Morning but it's way past that point! So a Good Afternoon to everyone!
It's been the usual busy Sunday around here. Grocery shopping this morning, off my weekly therapy at the nail salon-oh how I'm longing for a pedicure! Home for some lunch and a cup of coffee with my book. DH can't believe I'm reading a book about vampires and werewolfs! I have to admit that it's totally out of my usual kind of reading but this series has me hooked!
Fortunately for everyone concerned I woke up in a much better frame of mind than yesterday. I went to Costco yesterday and DD stopped by to pick up her mail and a couple of things that I bought that we were going to share. She had a serious problem with PMS that had her crying over cereal commercials-yes there are commercials that can still do that to me. We had our session of trying to figure out the male species-no we didn't come with any new ideas. Other than a serious cleansing of the refrigerator which actually took quite awhile and some laundry I didn't have a very productive day. Things haven't changed much around here I just seem to be putting up with it better today.
The bbq last night was good. It was nice of see DH chatty and more like his usual self. That side of him seldom appears these days.
I'm been busy in the kitchen this afternoon. I made some WW muffins for breakfast this morning and some cookies from Cooking Light. It only makes 20 cookies so I'm sure they won't long. I'm bbqing chicken for dinner and made a potato salad recipe from Light & Tasty that I like. I'm not a big potato salad fan and it's not loaded with mayo. I bought some fresh corn to throw on the bbq as well. I loaded up on fresh fruit and have some mango, cantalope and nectarines cut up in containers in the fridge so there's no excuse for not eating well this week.
Rhonda-I think it's great that you're getting out and about and there's certainly nothing wrong with having a new friend that just happens to be a male. I wouldn't expect that your feelings for Tim to just evaporate overnight. I'm glad that Tim has been checking on you. That was quite a scare for you. Hope you're feeling OK and that your Dad got to get home.
I guess I should get into the laundry room and finish up my laundry so that it's not staring me in the face tomorrow morning when I'm trying to get ready for the "w" word.
Hope you've all been enjoying a super Sunday!
Susan
